Centrally located on quite a busy street. Rooms are basic but comfortable. The hotel has a large caged bird collection but these are quiet at night. Breakfasts were good, although cars go by immediately outside and you can smell the car exhaust emissions. Very friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay.

We appreciate your review and the time you took to write it. Thank you for let us know about the restaurante, till now our solution has been to close the windows when our clients ask for, but make sure we will find a better option to avoid this inconvenient. Thank you again.

Spent almost three weeks there. Exceptional staff. Impeccably clean. Ideal location just two blocks off the zocalo and within walking distance of everything within the Oaxaca's vibrant centro. Restaurant dependably good. The courtyard is paradise. Noisy yes, but if you want quiet then get out of the middle of Oaxaca.

The hotel Parador san Miguel is well situated and the rooms were large and well provided for. Free wifi was included. The breakfast was nothing to write home about. Another hotel that looked interesting was the Parador de Alcala, also very centrally situated and where we would want to stay if we revisit Oaxaca.

This hotel is everything it was described to be. My husband and I came for a 4-day stay and stayed in a standard room on the third floor. Although the hotel is on a busy street, the room we stayed in was very quiet. To set expectations about the level of noise, I want to be clear that there are...

The hotel was very noisy, not from the birds, but from the people talking in the hallway and the workers banging on things, we heard everything! The front desk was not helpful. We asked about the Oaxaca Sabe, their Restaurant Week, and the front desk lady had no information on it. The next day, a male front desk employee also...

I'm so sorry to read the poor review you left us. Please accept all my apologies, definetely the Staff at the front desk need to explain this, normally they are always happy and ready to help. Room was not large but looked out onto a terrace where we could look down into the courtyard filled with plants and birds. Lovely. Location was excellent. We could walk to the plaza, good restaurants and many sites. Staff was very helpful in finding us an xcellent English speaking guide to take us to the nearby craft villages.

The staff is very friendly and helpfull. We had a week stay in one of the suites and we always impressed each day upon returning how immaculate our room was. Each day a different towel character on the bed brought smiles. Their restaurant is top notch. Love the patio and all the different birds and the cages. Perfect location 1...

Our Ocean Camp group stayed at this hotel boutique again in our annual visit to the City of Oaxaca. Our rooms were ready and as requested. The front desk staff, the restaurant staff, were all very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is kept at its best. Hotel Parador San Miguel has become our home in Oaxaca.

This hotel is an excellent base for exploring the historical center of Oaxaca. Located on a busy street in a traditional three-story building surrounding a courtyard full of singing caged birds, it is clean, well decorated, and run with courtesy and efficiency. Good beds; fine amenities; quiet for sleeping. My room was medium-sized with a modern bath and A/C, but...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
With a privileged location, 20 minutes from the airport. In the historical downtown area, only a half block from the Central Alameda. The beautiful colonial-style building has three floors with 23 rooms, including four suites.Located on one of the main avenues in the city, the facade had a grand entry door of carved cedar, opening to a lovely porch with a statue of St. Michael the Archangel.A wrought iron gate opens to the hotel vestibule, where walls of ochre, terra-cotta, beige and cream combine with dark green ironwork and green granite columns to provide a dramatic backdrop for the brilliant bougainvillea and geraniums that thrive in the home's central patio. From here you can catch a hint of the spellbinding flavors of our Oaxacan kitchen. In "La Cocina" you can choose a magical dish to your specifications.Small gardens lead to the first level rooms. A majestic green granite stairway crowned with glorious stained glass leads to the second and third levels. On the second level terrace, you could relax or sunbathe accompanied by canaries in a kaleidoscope of multicolored flowers. ... more   less
