Judging from the reviews, I expected to find a great place. At first, I thought I had found one. But I soon learned that this was not the place to bring your family for a fun vacation. The B and B is run by an American lawyer who didn't seem to understand the warmth and hospitality needed to run a...

You will not regret staying at Casa Ollin. It is in a great location with an easy walk to the Zocalo, the gardens and restaurants. Each morning you are greeted with a wonderful breakfast which is varied each day. Great coffee. Jon and Judith and the rest of the sweet staff there provide any help you might need. The rooms...

Oaxaca is a beautiful, great city and the Oaxaca Ollin is the perfect complement to the stay. The hosts are very warm and helpful in so many ways. As a bed and breakfast most of the guests ate together and it introduced one to a constantly interesting mix of people. We ended up meeting other guests for lunch and going...

I ended up traveling by myself to Oaxaca, since my friend had to change her plans. Staying at Casa Ollin ensured that I had people to talk with every day, staff to make recommendations about day trips, and friends to hang out with. The breakfast conversations were always really interesting, and I ended up going on some day trips with...

I have always wanted to travel to Oaxaca, and my friend and I were looking for a Christmas festival, so this seemed like a perfect choice. This trip far exceeded my expectations, and the reason is definitely Casa Ollín. This would have been a very different trip if we had stayed somewhere else. Jon and Judith's beautiful Oaxacan home is...

While the decor was nice and the location was decent (but not extraordinary), the rooms were extremely cold, almost to a point of absurdity. While the weather at the time of my stay was unseasonably cool, the hotel should have been prepared with extra blankets or at the very least, an apology upon repeated complaints. What's more, while the staff...

After spending a week just outside the city of Oaxaca, we spent a second week at Ollin. The location is just an 2 minute walk to the famed Santo Domingo church and museum, and a 10 minute walk to the zocalo. There are numerous restaurants within a 5 minute walk, and two parks (great for people watching) within blocks. Our...

We selected Oaxaca as a destination for a family Christmas holiday and Casa Ollin was the perfect selection for our stay. It is nicely located within an easy walking distance of the main sites, yet still in a quiet location (although nothing about Oaxaca at Christmas is quiet). Casa Ollin is exceptionally well maintained and it is clear that John...

We have traveled a good deal in Mexico, but this was our first visit to Oaxaca. We arrived at Oaxaca Ollin and were very pleased to find it on a quiet side street within a few blocks of the main pedestrian street. Upon entering we were greeted by our host Jon. He gave us an introduction to the facility and...

Casa Ollin is perfect for your first trip to Oaxaca and also if you don't speak much Spanish (which I don't). They can gently offer advice and help finding English-speaking guides and navigating various tourist destinations. The staff is friendly and nice. The breakfast is excellent. And they offer several mezcals by the glass which is a nice way to...
