I had the good fortune to stay at Hotel Parador San Augustin for 5 days during the heavily attended Guelagutza Festival in July. The hotel is centrally located, clean and original in design. I believe it is a converted 1700s house? There are only 18 or 19 rooms which surround a courtyard where you have breakfast. My room was large...

I am a girl traveling by myself but really I felt all safe in Oaxaca. I had two days in Oaxaca and I felt like home to stay in hotel Parador San Agustin. I like the architecture of the hotel so much, it's very beautiful, quiet at night and delicious breakfast, very good price too. Especially, I felt very warm-welcomed/treated...

We stayed here 4 nights, very big rooms, we chose a room with no windows as it was very quiet, but they have lovely rooms with balconies. Set in an old house with a great central courtyard. Breakfast was great and is free if you pay in cash, it's a promotion they're having at the moment. Staff always very attentive....

Rooms on the second floor (I don't know about the ones in the lower level) are very comfortable, with high ceilings and the biggest bathrooms I've seen in this price range. You really want to get the breakfast-included option here, because these guys know how to prepare true-delicious-Mexican breakfast. If you pick the Molletes and you don't like them, there's...

Excellent location, nice people, good price. Near restaurants, tourist attractions, all walkable. Generous breakfast. We had large two-room suite with sitting room, bedroom with large bed and large modern bath. Good hot water. Mexican style building with open central court. We paid 8,000 pesos (including all taxes) for 6 nights. Breakfast included when paying by cash. HSBC ATM across the...

Great location in "locals" part of town (not as touristy). Close to Zocalo, markets, etc. -- pretty much everything within easy walking distance. Lovely colonial courtyard, rooms arranged around that. Room was large, clean, quite large/spacious. Staff was helpful and the room was affordably priced. I would stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it to others.

We stayed 23 rd Feb for 2 nights. We arrived and were met politely, and smoothly. We sat and had a quick chat with one of the staff who explained how everything worked, where everything was in the city etc, and then we were offered a discount, and free breakfast if we paid cash. This would have come as a...

We arrived late at night and really loved the place. this is a 16th century estate now as a 16 room hotel with courtyard for breakfast. The location is excellent as you are one block from the city plaza, Levi; spoke English and was always able to help arrange with information! He was excellent in helping with about anything. The...

Large bedrooms upstairs around a courtyard where breakfast is served - a charming, classic old Parador with a small outside terrace. A few minutes walk for all the Oaxaca city sights, a great location. Pay cash and the excellent breakfast is included. My family stayed here for 8 nights, and enjoyed every minute of it! Only one block away from the zocalo, three from the Benito Juarez market or a handful of great museums. If you pay for the room in cash, breakfast is free, but there are plenty of good inexpensive eateries a block or so toward the south, and some...
