We were 6 women travelers on a philanthropic work trip in Oaxaca visiting local grass-roots non-profits supporting water and women's rights. This small colonial hotel is a gem, only 1 block from the Zócalo. Daily breakfast is included (if room paid in cash) and you order from the menu -- very complete and filling. The staff at the hotel is... More

We were very pleased with our seven nights (October 2016) at San Augustin. Its location one block from the Zocolo is ideal and central to many of the sites in Oaxaca. The hotel is a classic colonial building that contains 16 rooms around a covered open air plaza where breakfast is served 8:00-12:00. Our room was spacious with an ensuite... More

We stayed for 5 nights at the parador San Agustin, I would love to say it was awesome as it was in a great location and it was very peaceful inside however when we arrived quite late at night the taxi could not drop us off out front and we had to walk a couple of streets to get there... More

As 2 couples traveling together to Oaxaca City for the first time, we could not have planned better. The location is ideal. The staff is the best. We could find no unwanted dirt to complain about. The breakfasts were delicious, timely, and sent us off filled for a good day of seeing the area. Humor, smiles, helpful, willing to help... More

Extremely pleased with the value this hotel had to offer. Clean rooms, front desk staff more than helpful with directions for attractions and tourist information. If you pay cash for your room, continental breakfast is also included (which consisted of a fruit plate, coffee and toast). Secured parking (free) was located close to the hotel. Oaxaca is a city which... More

We were in the lower level suite and it was very well appointed. The staff offers homemade soap, bath salts, and more upscale items. Wifi worked well. We had coffee in the morning on the roof top garden area - and drinks at night. It is located within walking distance to the Zocolo and many restaurants. The staff was hospitable... More

Rooms without street facing windows are quiet. Hot water is best in the evening and early morning. The location is very convenient, management was very helpful and breakfast was fine. No AC so it might be hot in hot weather. Several courtyards are pleasant places to relax.

Our second time at this property and only getting better. Super location, impeccable service, fair prices and good, free breakfast ( if room paid in cash). Most rooms are redone and one has a good choice of interior or exterior facing rooms. Interestingly noise level low in spite of central lication

The Hotel Parador San Agustin has good points; it's clean and centrally located and the wifi is dependable. On the downside, the bed we had was very, very hard.
