The hostel is well kept, the staff are friendly and accomodating, the breakfasts good, rooms clean and travel information is good too. We recently stayed here for the Day of the Dead celebrations and (as expected) it was pretty noisy from guests drinking etc. The patio is audible from everywhere and most doors are metalic and noisy. One room we...

Hostal Pochon has everything that you could possibly need. Clean and comfortably furnished dormitories, a cozy common area, deliciously fresh breakfasts and probably the most helpful and dedicated reception that I have yet encountered. It is also the most affordable hostel (believe me, I checked around) with a generous breakfast included. Personally, I enjoy hostels that are centrally and safely...

I stayed at the small private room on the upper floor of Hostal Pochon and was very happy with it. It had everything I needed and nothing I didn't need: glass windows and a sliding door with cotton curtains, a wonderfully comfortable full-sized bed, a good fan, shelves, and enough floorspace for shoes and backpacks. About the hostel in general,...

Reading some of the previous reviews, I have to wonder what the hell it is that backpackers expect these days. Hostal Pochon is clean, secure and close enough to El Zocalo. Personally I loved the 20 minutes walk into the centre of this gorgeous city. So much to take in! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the breakfast is ok,...

In this place, as far as the rooms go, you get what you pay for. It's fine for budget travellers. It's clean with internet and fans. The staff were very good and the breakfasts were great too. Location pretty good.

It was maybe that there was a very good group of people when we came in, but it was just great...the room was nice and fresh, nevermind there was no private bathroom, the place is clean and comfty. The common areas are perfect to socialize and even the (very helpful and friendly) hostel's personnel is happy to join in a...

I stayed here last night (12/4/11). It was cold because the hostel itself is open-air, leaving room minimal heat. The staff was helpful, it felt safe with a safe-seeming crowd of Aussies, Canadians, Dutch, Irish and Americans. I did see a roach, which doesn't bother me that much, but would be a deal-breaker for some. The breakfast was ok, nothing...

I loved this hostel!! Very clean, good equipment (kitchen, computers, TV, library, etc). The breakfast prepared by two nice ladies is amazing! The staff is very friendly and helpful, they know a lot and what they don't know they're finding out for you. They're also nice to chat with, especially in the later evening hours. What I liked most was...

This place is cheap, nice, and has breakfast every morning. It might not be at downtown but it is only 5-6 blocks from the main plaza. The staff is very friendly, and 24/7 open to help you out on any doubt. I stayed here with my girlfriend for 2 nights at a shared room, and nobody checked in at that...
