The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful and gave us a spacious/clean room at a discount as the first we viewed smelled of cigarette smoke. Unfortunately the hot water in our room did not work in the evening, then the water was completely cut out the next day. We informed reception on departure, but were offered no discount...

Cons: traffic noise, dogs barking next property, hot water not hot, thin walls Pros: close enough to the center, clean enough, doable, good wifi If you are a picky neat freak than no, don't do it. It's budget with ware and tear noticeable. Paid 40 usd, probably worth 30.

I stayed at Parador Crespo in Dec 2013 for a few days. It's very close to Oaxaca's historic center, the zocalo, market shopping, etc. Right across the street are the steps to get up to the Auditorio Guelaguetza and the accompanying panoramic view of the city--a nice way to get your blood moving to start the day! My room was...

i've visited oaxaca a few times, and i liked this place before. it's not too expensive, a little away from the bustle of the center, but close enough to be accessible and with a nice view of the valley, the city and santo domingo church. since my last stay (2011) they've been taking care of the details, upgrading the rooms,...

The reason I rate this hotel less than average is that upon checking in, we found out that the restaurant is closed on Saturday and Sunday. the front desk's recommentadtion is the market. The rooms are clran enough, comfortable enough, and the TV, phone, Internet, lights and bath and toilet all work. The staff is friendly and helpful enough. As...

My husband and I rented a room in this hotel only because the others in our price range were already all booked up. We had alot of reservations coming in, but found that the bed was comfortable, the room clean, and the walk to the center of the city not nearly as bad as expected. There were two little restaurants...

I stayed for two nights at the Hotel Parador Crespo in Oaxaca City, Oaxaca, Mexico. I had tried to book other hotels, but as it was a holiday weekend, all were full. It was okay, clean, secure (the doors locked well), but was not worth the money. It is located far away from other hotels and restaurants, and the street...

Hotel's a small walk from S. Domingo church. Unfortunately, it's along a major street for many bus lines so buses ROAR by between 5AM & midnight. Nice staff at front desk & restaurant--although I chose to not return to eat there. No elevator so hope you travel light. Check around at the many other hotels in Oaxaca...I feel like this...
