We had an incredible experience at Casa Oaxaca in so many ways. We were there during Dia de los Muertos and despite all the excitement going on around town, once you enter Casa Oaxaca it's serene, beautiful and quiet. We had the pleasure of doing a cooking experience (market and all day cooking) w Chef Alex and enjoyed every minute.... More

I really, really liked Casa Oaxaca despite the booking process being a bit cumbersome, going backward and forward over email to confirm a room. The back and forth continued up until our arrival, largely at my instigation, with the hotel's staff (special call-out to Carlos) being very helpful with booking restaurants and offering tour recommendations (I wanted to do a... We had the foresight to book Casa Oaxaca 18 months in advance for our week long stay during Dia de los Muertos. I have never felt so warmly looked after from initial checking in, arrival cocktail, the magnificent breakfasts, assistance with making reservations and tours to our final goodbye of a 5am transfer to the airport complete with coffee and... Earlier this week I spent four nights in Casa Oaxaca. It was my first visit to the city but I will return and I will certainly stay at Casa Oaxaca again. I enjoyed a large room that opened on to the beautiful courtyard and which included free bottled water every day, fresh fruit (most of it grown in the courtyard... More

Casa Oaxaca is by far and away the best and most beautiful restaurant in Oaxaca and one of the nicest in Mexico (and I know what I'm talking about). The food is superb, the patio lies in the shadow of the largest church in Oaxaca and the service is excellent. Do not miss this restaurant!!!

We had the pleasure of staying at Casa Oaxaca for several days in late October 2016. It was an amazingly cool place with interior design of Mexican with a modern interpretation, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Location was spot on - close to the best of everything in Oaxaca! The entire boutique hotel has a relaxed vibe and the service was... More

Staying here was a real treat and the hotel richly merits the great reviews it receives. We stayed in Suite #6 which feels like being in a private villa as it has lots of space (including two shower rooms) and is slightly removed from the other guest accommodation. The public areas are stylish and very well maintained, and although the... More

Really beautiful hotel with excellent food & service. Lulu on the front desk is really welcoming from the moment you arrive (very good English too) and in the courtyard and bar Tino gives a great tutorial on Mezcal (it's a must do, when you stay). Room 6 is on 2 floors & is spectacular. Room 8 is small. The courtyard... More

Dear Sir: Thanks for your appreciative review of Casa Oaxaca Hotel. Our staff tries hard to provide the type of experience you enjoyed. We are very happy that you have had a beautiful experience with our food and with the mezcal in this hotel. The spiky agave plants, the Oaxacan village and the artisanal production ensures that each batch has... More

Stay in the big house, take the cooking class, eat, sleep and enjoy being pampered! The location is in the middle of town, just a stone throw from the Casa restaurant which is a must when visiting Oaxaca. Big thanks to the staff that really go out of their way to make you feel comfertable.

Staying at Casa Oaxaca was a highlight of our family trip to Oaxaca. The setting--the hotel building, courtyard, and rooms--is beautiful, extremely tasteful, elegant, and impeccably maintained. The staff were sincerely friendly, thoughtful and accommodating. The beds were very comfortable and rooms were quiet. In addition to breakfast, don't miss having at least one lunch or dinner there (you will... More
