We weren't staying at the hotel but did visit to have a pre dinner G and T as we have visited before and loved the tranquil courtyard with art, pomegranate tree, fountain and wanted a quiet spot before dinner. We have been surprised both visits how quiet it is as we would have been here every night if we were...

This place is simply the best!! It made our trip and was so relaxing after travelling from busy Mexico city. The hotel is beautiful, gorgeous art & decor, the rooms are much the same. We stayed in a large casa with a pool and relaxed the moment we moved in. The staff are incredible, nothing was ever too hard for...

The restaurant is small, maybe seven or eight tables. They require reservations. The dining area is in the interior of the hotel, but open-roof and al fresco, and there's absolutely no street noise. First, a shout out to our waiter, Oscar. He did a fantastic job. He was patient explaining some of the unusual vocabulary on the menu, and generally...

Casa Oaxaca is very special. It is intimate, the people are lovely, helpful and attentive and the food is fresh, local and delicious. My husband and I stayed at Casa Oaxaca for three days. One morning on our way out to see the city, I mentioned that we were going out that evening to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We...

We stayed here with the family for three nights, and had a lovely time. The rooms are beautiful, well decorated, and well maintained. Bathroom is gorgeous. The central courtyard where meals and drinks are taken is lovely and peaceful. Service couldn't be better. Food excellent. Breakfasts are varied and sumptuous; dinners, equally fantastic. Coffee is best in Mexico, as far...

Large spacious and comfortable room, cracking array of breakfast choice, lovely atmosphere sheltered from passing traffic and genuinely wonderful staff who are always helpful and charming and pleasant - not just the front desk staff but all the way down to the maids. I'm really struggling to find any fault with this hotel, which is also really good value compared...

I know that's a serious superlative, and doesn't mean much if you don't know us. However, this place is so wonderful and so impeccably run you never want to leave. Everything and everyone at Casa Oaxaca leaves you with the impression there is something like hospitality perfection. Just book and see for yourself!

I haven't had the enjoyment of staying at Casa Oaxaca, so this review is only for the restaurant. I found myself at Casa Oaxaca twice last week. On my first day in Oaxaca we arranged for a "cooking class" with Chef Rafael. The "class" included a couple that was staying at the hotel and me and my friend. We went...

Our seventh visit to Casa Oaxaca (the hotel) was every bit as wonderful as the previous six. The minute you walk in the door the tranquility, comfort and personal attention from the staff make you feel like you have left the cares of this crazy world behind if only for a few days. Add to this the exceptional skill of...

My husband and I came here for lunch. The atmosphere was cozy upstairs yet elegant. We had wild mushroom soup (excellent), ceviche in poblano and the suckling pig. All excellent! Next time we will try the grilled octopus, it looked good.
