If you are looking for a hotel in a great location within walking distance to many sites, this hotel will work well for you. HOWEVER, the entire hotel including hallways, elevator and rooms are so poorly lit, as to make it almost dangerous. Others have commented on this, but the comments seem to minimize the degree of discomfort .The hotel...

Good breakfast! Nice installation for bathrooms and bedrooms! Very safe and very close to the Zocalo! It also has a terrace with a bar where people can go and chill! One of the best hostels I've been!

The hotel has a wonderful modern style. In our room the ceilings were about 20 feet high. The rooms are ultra modern with lights that you only need touch to light up. The only drawbacks were the lack of light in the space, both using lighting and natural light. Great food, both on the second level morning breakfast and the...

The Downtown is in a wonderful neighborhood--the Centro. It's close to markets, restaurants, bars and museums. The hotel itself has 17 rooms and suites and shares it's quarters with two excellent (non-affiliated) restaurants and a variety of shops. It does have a lovely space for breakfast on the same floor as the rooms, and that is part of the hotel....

The old historic building is lovely, the rooms are clean and nicely decorated, and the rooftop bar is beautiful. Lots of potential of potential to be perfect, but it's not. There is no hotel lobby. You have to walk through a restaurant and shopping area that are not associated with the hotel to get to the cubbyhole front desk in...

The worst experience I've ever had. My wife was robbed at the entrance to the hotel and for two hours I have been trying to get somebody to help but absolutely not one person in the hotel is willing to help even a little bit. There is a gross lack of respect by the entire staff including the managers (all...

Stumbled in here for the great courtyard restaurant "Azul" and stayed for the roof top bar as well as the Mezcaleria. We asked to see the rooms and they were modern and eclectic in design. Thought the location would make them noisy, but they were very quiet. The roof top bar was very hip and the design of the public...

Great atmosphere. Food is fine. Everything in this hotel is cool and trendy. Nice view of Mexico city valley. Don't expect 5 stars service but is fine. Is more about the filling of been in a hotel with style. The rooms are minimalistic decorated with large windows.

The hotel is located in a prime location. It seems like a great idea to choose a design hotel. But design does not always work. The rooms remain dark. Some layouts are not practical. If your not a fan of open toilet layouts then avoid this one. Its a hotel that does adds to the experience but I think other...

Hip, beautiful and fun not only describes the hotel but the people who visit there. The gorgeous building was once a residence many, many years ago...or so we were told. Quirky and modern additions have been made to make it a fun place to stay from a visual perspective. LOCATION Downtown Hotel is located in the Central District (Zocalo) which...
