Clean and quiet room, great bathroom, excellent location (we hopped on Zocalo metro the entire trip, saved lots of money on taxi fare), friendly staff, cable tv. We were pleasantly surprised for the price and enjoyed the refugee from the craze of mex city.

Hotel Catedral is a gem in Mexico City - it's centrally located (right behind the Zocalo and Cathedral), the prices are reasonable, and the staff amenable. We had no problems getting to the hotel from the airport; on our return staff called a taxi for us. There is a subway stop at the Zocalo a few blocks away - you...

Date: 28th July 2007 Rewiewer: A Tripadvisor, Mettmann, Germany We, a family of 4, with two girls , 15 and 19 years of age, stayed 5 days at this wonderful hotel in the historic center of Mexico City. Everything that was worth visiting was within walking distance, the metro station was about 5 minutes walk away. The staff in the...

We have stayed at Hotel Catedral for the past 16 years whenever we go to Mexico City for business or pleasure. The staff knows us and we always get excellent service and treatment. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the restaurant is fantastic. It may not be a luxury property, but with the money we save we can eat...

Great location, clean and tidy hotel, with purified water in the room. I would definitely recommend booking a rooftop room with a Catedral view - we didn't find it too noisy. We were fortunate to move rooms after the first night to the sixth floor view. Hotel staff were friendly and it was a bonus to have an English speaker...

This is a nice hotel with a good location just behind the Zocalo. At £20 a night (30 euros/40 dollars)it proved great value for a type of hotel you would pay three times as much for in a European city (much more in London, Paris or Rome). The rooms were large, clean and well equipped with a TV (with the...

My husband and I wanted to stay in Mexico City without spending a lot on a room, while also making sure that the place we stayed at would be clean and convenient. We booked a room at the Hotel Catedral in Mexico City based on the reviews on tripadvisor and I must say that this turned out to be an...

Me and my wife stayed in Hotel Catedral in March 2007, twice. First time upon arriving to Mexico and the second time at the end of our Mexico tour. The stay was very pleasant. The staff was very helpful, the restaurant downstairs was excellent and of course you cannot beat the location. The only negative factor is the fact that...

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Catedral for ten nights. The property is extremely convenient to ALL attractions in the Centro Historico of Mexico City and sits directly behind the main cathedral. Access to the Metro (subway) is a two block walk and opens the rest of the city up for easy exploration. But for the roughly one...

We stayed at the Hotel Catedral Dec 23/04 for 7 nights. Location off the Zocalo is very good, also close to the Metro. Just behind the Great Cathedral. Like in any European City - Mex City in the Old City Centre rolls up the shutters for the night - so the area has a deserted look until daybreak when all...
