My second stay at the Hotel Catedral was no disappointment. Staff are friendly and helpful. The free breakfast is great (try the Oaxacan tamales!). The room was comfortable and clean, the bed and pillows great, and we even had a view of the street below. The location is great. It's close to the Zocalo and Templo Mayor and within walking...

I spent 5 days at Hotel Catedral in April 2008, following very positive reviews in Trip Advisor. My expectations were met and more. From the moment I walked into the hotel, tired after dragging 3 pieces of luggage about 1 km, I knew I had made the right choice. The receptionist was very welcoming and organised a wonderful tequila concotion,...

Hotel Catedral is just 1 block away from the main central historical plaza (zocalo) in Mexico City. Views from the hotel can possibly include the back of the cathedral, and the views from the roof terraces are spectacular. The price is also not bad. The Good: Great views from terraces, possibly a decent room view if your room faces the...

There isn't much to say that hasn't already been said. This hotel deserves to be in the top 10. A great hotel for the price, in the best location you could ask for in Mexico City. I booked this hotel directly through the hotel's website and still got a price of $40. At first I wasn't expecting much for that...

Hotel Catedral, Mexico City August 2007. We were very pleased – it is an excellent budget optiMy girlfriend and I stayed at Hotel Catedral for a week at the end of on in a prime location near the Zocalo and the main tourist sites. Our room did not have a fridge, which was a pain, and the view could hardly...

Me and my wife we stayed at Hotel Catedral 4 night during our trip in Mexico. It was our first hotel in Mexico (after 12 hours flight from Europe). I've red some reviews before, and booked this directly via email. We had double room for 660 peso including breakfast. At check-in I asked for quiet room - and I got...

I have stayed at the Hotel Catedral several times and I love it. Its central location, affordability, and friendly staff make this an excellent choice in Mexico City. Plus, it has wireless internet. The rooms are a little outdated, but they are clean. Plenty of hot water in the showers, too. The only downside is that on Sundays the Cathedral's...

Hotel Catedral surpassed our expectations. We booked here based on TA reviews as well as Frommer's. The hotel is attractive and the rooms were nicer than I thought they would be. The spigot of purified water in each bath is a big plus. The staff is excellent and they offer a security box for guests behind the front desk. Their...

I stayed at Hotel Catedral September 12-18,2007. It is located in the Centro Historico area. I rented a single room that came with a bed big enough for three for $45.00 per night. The rooms were kept clean as was the rest of the Hotel. The hotel has it's own restaurant. It had white tablecloths and menus printed in English....

My wife and I just got back from a 4 night stay in Hotel Catedral. Both it and Mexico City make for a perfect getaway. We had a decent-sized and spotless double room for what worked out to be about $51 US per night. (We paid in cash, and the peso is a little stronger lately.) Bathroom clean and modern...
