This place was clean with ensuite and really friendly and helpful staff. Great food included and perfect location. I would stay here again in Mexico City! The staff helped us book tours and even our bus and plane travel into the future. The rooms were small but clean, big bed, ensuite bathroom basic but very usable and clean. Wifi was... More

Good location and very comfy beds (probably best beds in a dorm room I've had). Good breakfast. Maybe I was there at a quiet time but for a social hostel there was no one around, bar was empty and atmosphere was lacking. Would still give it another shot though.

Although the sleep quality may not have been so great, I can hardly blame the hostel itself for this! Aside from that it is hard to fault such friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Aida - one of the most helpful people anywhere (one of the staff members) was most helpful, finding a 3 person dorm (which was unoccupied) for... More

Spacious room with two queen beds, very clean, painted in bright colors. Thick wool blankets on bed. Safe present in room. Shared bathrooms on each floor with modern sinks, again very clean. Receptionist spoke good English, helpful and courteous, made taxi arrangements for the morning to the airport. Free WiFi. Noticed computers on main floor, beer vending machine, foosball table,... This hostel is probably the cleanest I've ever stayed in. The staff was very helpful and the private room we rented was clean and comfortable. The guests were primarily young international travelers and were polite and mostly quiet. The location is great with easy walking to zocalo, metro, and good shopping and restaurants.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at. I've stayed in a lot of hostels mostly in the yucatan however this was one of the best. It definitely is a party hostel. I met an amazing group of people. The vibe is great, the rooms are spacious, the breakfast is good and varies every morning and the bathrooms are clean.... More

Let me preface this by saying that we actually had a blast at this hostel. It's definitely a party hostel, as they advertise, with parties every night and a raging bar (though REALLY expensive). We met a lot of great people and had a lot of fun at the pyjama night, on the wrestling tour etc etc. The rooms were... More

I was in Mexico City for an extended stay and I stayed at Hostel Amigo the whole time. It's in a great location, really close to the metro lines as well as el zocalo. I really enjoyed my stay there, but watch out for the free tequila... so drunk. It was almost tragic. The staff is the best part. They're... More
