Will definitely stay at Posada Santa Fe again. Its right in the center of everything. You can walk everywhere. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I recommend for family and couples. Our visit was very pleasant and will return again.

So before I review the hotel may I say Guanajuato is the neatest little mountain and former mining town ever. The quaint tunnels and hills and alleyways make for a wonderful town to explore for a few days. We were there during Dias de Muerto which made the trip all the more spectacular. Now the hotel, first off, if you... More

Excellent location, however the noise from the street is too loud at night, if your room faces the street prepare not to sleep, and unfortunately the noise inside is also very bad, if someone talks at the hall you will listen EVERYTHING as if they were inside your room The rest is ok, but the carpet in the stairs and... The Posada Santa Fe is right on the Jardin Union, a quick walk to the Juarez theater, the beautiful Basilica, the Templo de la Compania, the funicular that takes you up to the El Pipila statue and overlook of the city. There are good places to eat or grab a snack within 2-5 minute walk. The Posada Santa Fe's restaurant,... More

Hotel is nice and right in the middle of the city next to the pedestrian zone and Juarez theater. Rooms are old but in good shape Parking entrance is hard to find, reserve parking spot otherwise you might have to park somewhere else

The hotel has a carpeted stairway and the carpet was very dirty. In fact, there were broken crackers on the stairs that remained there the entire time we were there. I wasn't bothered by noise, but the bed was hard and the pillows did not look clean. The carpet in the room was also dirty. Very limited TV viewing options,... More

The hotel is in a convenient location, however as others have mentikned there is a lot of noise from the squre in the evening. The overall look and feel of the hotel is worn and dirty. We went to eat dinner on the terrace outside and the table clothes were all dirty with food splahes and stains. When asked about... More

Visited for 2 nights from the last day of the Cervantino festival with wife and kids. It is in the right center of the old town, where the Jardin de la Union, Juarez theater, and San Diego church are nearby. You can also reach many famous places in 5 to 10 min by walk such as the cable car to... More

Our trip was amazing there is so much to do, we were there for 3 days and did not stop for a second in order to cover as much as possible. Guanajuato is full of art, culture, history and music. We happened to be there for the opening of the international cervantino festival and managed to watch from a distance,... More

The three of us had a late breakfast after arriving from Sa Miguel de Allende on the main Guanajuato square. Truly a delight in this sidewalk cafe and hotel in a park setting. It was fun watching all the college young adults interacting and also the uniformed school children heading home with their parents. We had a healthy and satisfying... More

“Quite noisy, you can hear the Mariachi playing in the front of the hotel. I didn't mind much since I wanted to be right at the Union Square which was bustling with fun. Tons of fun sightseeing to do all within walking distance from the hotel. ”
