I just had the most charming experience at this hotel in Guadalajara. The service, room and price were excellent, but the most surprising delight was the "night guests." While sitting in the "sala" one night, a bathroom door kept opening and slamming shut, and an occasional cold breeze would brush past my face. I asked the manager on duty what...

Just returned from my first visit to Guadalajara and stayed in the El Aposento. I specifically chose this hotel because I wanted a hotel that was more traditional Mexican style. This hotel is located in the heart of the historic district. I walked my legs off during the six nights I stayed there - exploring miles in every direction. We...

El Aposento Hotel gave me the best personal service I have had in Guadalajara. I have stayed at several other "old" hotels, but this one is now on the top of my list. My room was airconditioned, and I had breakfast when I wanted it. My room was large and very quiet. I have read that they are noisy, but...

They have changed management, the employees are professional and happy. The hotel is under refurbishment, and I noticed several differences already. There are plants around the fountains, birds singing in cages, and the...

I stayed there for four nights. This place is charming but not comfortable. The rooms are old and the service (other than the breakfast that I never had) is unexistant. The rooms that have a window to the street (75% I believe) are ok until you realize that they face a mayor intersection where noisy diesel trucks make a quiet...

Well, the hotel is clean, old, cozy and in general comfortable, located in a very convenient place downtown, walking distance from the most important sights of the area. There was no real restaurant there, except for simple breakfast in the mornings, but later on the restaurant just did not exist. However, during my 4 week stay I found that the...
