I questioned booking a hotel without a pool nor ocean front but Casa Iguana offers first rate everything! It is a lovely respite from the heat and sand of the beach with its cool quiet garden. Rooms are spacious and private and the outdoor Sala perfect for breakfast and lounging. The atmosphere created by Joel and his staff is friendly...

Just returned from a 10 day stay at Casa Iguana. First off - the place is immaculate, well designed, has high end furnishings, and a great location. Joel' the owner is a very nice person who runs a well oiled machine... Hardly see Joel' as he works during the day running his two other businesses in Ixtapa. Everything in my...

At first I was skeptical of this one, because I couldn't pay by paypal or credit card, but in the end found it to be a great decision. If you are a resort go-er, this is not for you! But if you want to be a block from the best beach in all of Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo, this is the...

I have stayed at Casa Iguana many times. A short walk to La Playa, the beach you want to be on in Zihuatanejo. Joel the owner is warm and helpful. The rooms are immaculately clean & well-designed & with authentic Mexican colors. This is a charming small hotel, quiet, well-located. The beds are comfortable and the terraces are a great...

In researching my recent first-time visit to Zihuatanejo, I relied almost exclusively on Trip Advisor reviews to help me select lodging accommodations. I found the user reviews incredibly helpful and hence am compelled to contribute my own experience. Initially I chose Casa Iguana for lodging because it sounded like it was close to the best beach in town- La Ropa...

This is not a hotel this is a CASA which means home. When Joel opened the door to let us into his CASA IGUANA we felt the warmth of this personality. There are only 6 rooms so you feel like you are in your own private world. Wonderful spotless rooms with fantastic patios. His two dogs GiGi and Channel made...

This was our 4th stay at Casa Iguana. Prior to finding Casa Iguana, we stayed in several of the beach hotels - but I can tell you we won't ever go back! You truly can hear the waves from the beach - which is a wonderful way to start each day, and you can get there in a minute of...

Casa Iguana is a gem. It is a beautiful, cozy place to stay with a fabulous owner, Joel. When we arrived to Casa Iguana we were greeted immediately and given all the details, including great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The day we arrived it was raining and Casa Iguana was not filled to capacity, so Joel graciously upgraded my...

A small intimate casa, that was tucked away on a small side street. Well worth finding! the suites were very clean, beautifully decorated with the Mexican tile, high ceilings, and air conditioning (especially appreciated at night). Loved the continental breakfast fixings in our kitchen each morning. Appreciated the help finding a dentist when my husband's filling fell out,and the time...

I stayed four nights at Casa Iguana in July and loved it. The whole place is completely tranquil, and so close to the beach that you can hear the waves. It's less than a minute's walk to the beach (and those beachfront hotels on Playa Ropa are going for 3x the price). Every morning we had fresh coffee, toast, fruit,...
