My 14 year old son and I stayed at Casa del Encanto for 2 weeks. I gave it 4 stars for the graciousness of host and the ambience she has created there. There is a sort of magical feel about the grounds with her many gurgling water fountains and the plethora of lights and candles that are lit each evening.... More

Laura's place is fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and secretly don’t want anyone to know how great it is for fear it will be all booked up the next time I want to go! The decor is amazing with all the little Mexican touches. Love how the whole place is lit up with lights and candles at night,... More

Casa del Encanto is a great place to stay. Me and my wife had a wonderful relaxing week there between Christmas and New Year. Laura was very welcoming. She know a lot about the community and provided us with excellent advice and translation for our scuba, birdwatching, snorkeling and fishing as well as great suggestions for beach places. I am... I had a wonderful experience at Casa del Encanto this past spring. It was my first accommodation after arriving in Barra de Potosi (also for the first time), and I was struck by the unique charm of each room and the welcoming feel of the common areas and outdoor patio space. It's a peaceful place to relax, read a book,... More

We are familiar with Casa del Encanto from our many trips and extended stays in the area. We were excited to spend some time at the luxurious candle lit inn on our most recent trip, which included two grandmothers, two teenagers, my husband and myself. The amazing thing about slipping into Laura's world is that it is so welcoming and... More

Laura's colorful B&B immediately makes you feel welcome and at home, truly part of the family. The rooms are twice as big as I imagined from the pictures. Breakfast filled me up .. pitchers of fresh squeezed orange juice and plates of fresh fruits and fresh bread and pastries and granola and yogurt (luckily you can walk or swim alot... More

We landed almost by mistake in Barra de Potosi. Now we want nothing more than to go back. Gorgeous beach, 178 species of birds in the lagoon, fresh local-caught seafood & street food so cheap & good you wish you could just eat all day, and the most comfortable beds we found in Mexico. What more could one want when... More

My family stayed here in late December and found it sublime. Dona Laura, the owner, has put heart and soul into making a comfortable, laid back, casual inn. The house is very comfy, an indoor/outdoor place with lounging spots for meeting other guests or just doing your own thing. She is a wonderful hostess, loves the area and is happy... More
