I took my daughter and meet family for spring break. The hotel is a wonderful place, great views from each room and short walk to the beach. The service and staff were great. We were amongst a number of repeat guests, that ALL love the Troppo experience. The open air rooms were unlike any I have stayed in, old world...

This place was a disappointing experience for us, given the comments of many guests we were rather surprised. I will start with a series of misinformation that the hotel gave to us. Most importantly, we would have not chosen to stay at this hotel if David would have not misinformed in his e-mail communication and would have explained that hotel...

The staff is very hospitable and competent. The food is absolutely delicious and it's presentation is a real Kodak moment!! The feel of the entire experience in La Quinta Troppo Hotel is that you are in Mexico and not in some chain hotel; from its architectural design to the smallest details in its interior, this hotel is bathed in Mexican...

I was lucky enough to stay at La Quinta Troppo on my most recent expedition to Mexico, in summer 2008. I found the hotel to be absolutely charming and the perfect place to really relax for a week. The rooms are well apportioned and individually decorated, with all the luxuries you'd expect from top notch accommodation. David and the staff...

As you step in the door of La Quinta Troppo you know immediately that you will be well looked after. The owner David warmly welcomed us and showed us to a beautifully decorated large bedroom. There were petals arranged on the bed to say "welcome", fresh flowers in the room and a view of the Pacific to take your breath...

The Quinta Troppo is our family's all time favorite! My husband and I started taking our daughters on "Spring Break" after they both had completed college, and we could finally afford to, and they finally were pleased to be with parents ( who would pick up the tab). As Wisconsin natives, who have our fill of snow and ice by...

I loved my stay at La Quinta Troppo. The rooms are delightful. Mine had a hammock on a private patio where I spent a lot of my time reading. It was so peaceful. The food was excellent. It felt luxurious and home-y at the same time. A very welcoming place.

This is one of our favorite hotels. My husband and I have been traveling to Zihuatanejo for many years and we always stay at La Quinta Troppo. We love Zihuatanejo for it's atmosphere and complete lack of high rise hotels. Staying at this little hotel is a real treat and wonderful escape from the stresses we all face in our...

My brother in-law recommended La Quinta Troppo which led me to worry. But when I saw it was in Karen Brown's guide to great small hotels, I felt better but remained nervous...But after a single stay we were hooked and have returned each year for the last five years. La Quinta Troppo is in our view the perfect small hotel--beautiful...

My husband and I stayed at La Quinta in June 2008 for 6 days. La Quinta is a wonderful and relaxing small hotel. Unfortunetly our visit did not get off to a great start. “The night time temps are quite warm, but the rooms stay at a comfortable temperature with the aid of ceiling fans and air conditioners. Our room, Neptune, had a hammock hanging in the adjoining outdoor patio area which overlooked the pool area. Great for that late afternoon snooze.”
