Casa Azul had everything my husband and I were looking for in our vacation: well-slung hammock, comfy bed, ocean view, steps to the beach. We enjoyed listening to the surf as we fell asleep and cooking in the kitchen that has everything you need for simple meals in. We enjoyed our coffee on the balcony every morning and the rustic...

I've been to Casa Azul twice and stayed during the Zihua Guitar Festival. We loved our stay and the festival. Zihua is quite a find. We liked the location of Casa Azul, easy walking into town and the beaches. Comfy beds, WiFi, great kitchen, awesome!

Hola! We are so happy we found casa Azul. The whole internet money wiring I am not big on. With trip advisor it's a lot easier. I read the reviews and liked what we saw and called the owner and e-mailed two of the people who have been there. One answer me with more compliments than expected and told me...

If you stay here there is a high probability that you will be robbed. We were as were others. The house is a mecca for thieves in the area. They know it's a rental. People who rent Casa Azul don't know that and are giving a false sense of security by it's appearance. It's a joke. Joke number 1. The...

CasaAzul-Zihuatanejo, Owner at Casa Azul - La Madera, responded to this review

Zihuatanejo, like other tourist/vacation areas, does sometime have a problem with theft and during this season, many hotels were robbed. There have been no thefts in the neighborhood since an arrest was made January. As noted in the review, Casa Azul has many security provisions and I have just returned from a month in Zihuatanejo supervising several improvements to enhance...

I really like my stay at Casa Azul the location was great just a stones throw away from the center, markets etc....but away from the huba bub too. I stayed in both Arriba and Abajo. The apartment was decorated with local art and trinkets which gave it a good feel and the kitchens were well supplied. Abajo was a great...

Stayed here for 5 days over New Years and ,between 4 of us, we rented both upstairs apartments. The rooms are clean and spacious wwith a nice breeze blowing through at night. Close enough to walk to the beach or to town in 5 minutes. Recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Azul over New Years -- we had the Arriba and our friends had the Nido. The decor was lovely, the rooms were clean and the location was very central -- blocks away from Playa Madera, Playa Principal and downtown restaurants and shopping. We made our own breakfast most mornings from groceries purchased at...

We loved the apartment and the location. Super close to the beach, to stores and restaurants, and a nice hike up over the hill to La Ropa. Carmen was amazing and definitely made us feel very welcome. We'll be back for sure.

This is our second trip back to Casa Azul and there will be many more! Exceptionally unique with several layouts between the different suites allows the Casa Azul to be very flexible. We chose the Arriba and absolutely loved everything about it. Less than one block to the beach but also affording the type of views that are often advertised...

Casa azul is exactly like it is pictured on the web site. It has a great location 79 steps from Madera beach and about 3 blocks from down town. It is in a nice neighborhood on a flower lined street. The house is not fancy but is clean and comfortable. Carmen the local manager was both help full and friendly....
