My husband and I stayed here for four nights in late April, 2017, prior to moving north to Nuevo Vallarta to stay in a large resort. The experiences couldn't have been more different - we loved both, but they were certainly distinct! We were greeted with a cold drink and house-made guacamole and chips, while the staff checked us in...

My fiancé and I LOVED staying at Rivera del Rio!!!! We love vintage/rustic places that are unique and this place is exactly that. The architecture and design is amazing! We stayed in the Scarlet room which had a fantastic view of Vallarta. The room was great! Clean and spacious. The seat in the center of the room takes up a...

I stayed at this fantastic, quaint, boutique hotel for 6 nights and could not have imagined a better stay. I do not know what else to add about this fantastic property that has not already been mentioned in other reviews. If you are seeking an authentic Mexican style hotel, instead of the big resorts this is the one to pick!

From the time of our arrival until the time of our departure, the staff made every effort to provide excellent service. Ignacio warmly greeted us and, during our 4 night stay, constantly checked to be sure all of our needs were met. Ramon, also, went out of his way to please us. By the end of our stay, I called...

Soothing peaceful and artistically done, this place is an artistic museum with personalized service and fantastic beds and linens. Ignacio was super friendly and really made me feel like I was in a palace. I really enjoyed the location and even though the maids didn't speak much English they made practicing my Spanish fun!

I fell in love the moment Grant greeted us with Margaritas and guacamole. After traveling with two little kids internationally, it was a very nice welcome. We stayed in the Alejandro room at the very top with PLENTY of space for the family. The art and decor everywhere you look is so unique and every inch is designed to perfection....

This was so nice, ideal for us. Eclectic and unique, quiet and comfortable. A beautiful view from the balcony for breakfast or coffee overlooking a quiet river bordered by mango trees. The River Cuale is more a stream than a river. You are in a Mexican neighborhood. We often had the rooftop pool or hot tub to ourselves. Near the...

I've been to PV six times and credit this boutique hotel for making this one my best trip ever. With fabulous artwork and fixtures, the fact that this impressive hacienda had served as a decades old family home owned by a ninety year old diva, named Silver, made sense. After she passed away, her inheritor grandson Eric, completely restored and...
