We recently returned from a 2 week stay. The Casa Iguana currently gives the impression of having seen better days. The kitchenettes were poorly equipped even for producing a rudimentary meal. No can or bottle opener or cork screw or sharp knives were provided so take those with you if you can. The on site shop could have sold these...

New owners are working on upgrading the facility. Employees bend over backwards to be helpful. Good value for the money. Don't expect 5 star quality. Breakfast was included in the price of the room. Mosquitoes were a problem. Located quite a ways from the beach in the hills and heavy foliage little wind to deal with the mosquitoes. .

We stayed at this properly for 5 nights . The staff was accomodating and friendly. Although it may not be grand like some mexican properties, it is lovely and a very good bargain for those who want something more authentic. You stay right in the quaint village of mismaloya with all the friendly locals. The room we had was also...

Just returned from a lovely stay with my parents and sisters. We had a 2 bedroom suite on the top floor (4th floor), lovely view from the walkway with very cool lounging chairs. The room was very clean and quiet, beds were comfortable. By no means fancy, but still very nice as it felt like a real Mexican get away....

We arrived at casa iguana to an absolutely filthy apartment. It was advertised as a small equipped kitchenette, pictures to follow. There was almost nothing in the kitchen, no towels in the bathroom, no soap, no shampoo. The hot plate did not work at all, no hot water at all. After reading reviews I opted to bring cleaning supplies and...

The jacuzzi was not working and the internet works also very poorly. The worst is the lady manager in charge, an arrogant person by the name Gabriela Macedo that won't even let you finish your sentence as a customer. Even getting her name was difficult. I am originally from Mexico and I wonder if foreign tourists get a better treat....

The hotel is a lot older than than what the pictures represent. The rooms air conditioners did not work had to open the windows and doors to cool the room down. No elevator. It was ok I expected more since I paid over $100 per night.

We are staying here for three months. I have stayed here before and am sad to see how it has gone down hill. The people that work here are doing the best they can with what they have to work with. The pool is advertised as heated, but it is not, and it is dirty. I wouldn't swim in it....

We booked Casa Iguana for a longer stay based on photos and reviews. I don't know what other visitors are thinking but the hotel is disgusting at this point . The staff hang around the front office offering nothing in the way of service. We were given our keys and entered the gates of hell. Every surface was covered in...
