My wife and I stayed at this property for one night on the tail end of our trip and thoroughly enjoyed our quick visit.
The hotel and grounds are stunning, with spectacular views from just about everywhere on the property. The junior suite was incredibly well appointed and much bigger than I expected. I was surprised this was the base-level room. This would easily be a mid or upper tier suite at most hotels.
Staff for the most part were excellent. We encountered one guy working at the front desk who looked annoyed every time we interacted with him, but everyone else was pleasant and helpful.
The food and drinks were excellent and the dining credits helped offset the cost a bit. That said, the food was a little bit on the pricey side for the area. Not a big deal of you're there for a couple meals but keep this in mind if you're planning a long stay. I was particularly frustrated by the high prices on drinking water. They provide 2 small bottles of Costco water in the room every day. If you need more, the only option is 75 pesos (about $4usd at the time of this writing) for a small bottle of Evian. Make sure you bring your own water. As far as drinks go, there are more affordable options(including some excellent mezcal cocktails), but if you're budget conscious ask to see a menu because some of the classic cocktails, including margaritas, are on the pricey side.
We had a late evening flight out and were able to extend our checkout time to 4:00 p.m. for a reasonable fee. Overall, we had a fantastic time. The hotel is a hidden gem in PV and is truly deserving of its AAA 4 diamond ranking.

My wife and I spent a wonderful week in this hotel and enjoyed every moment of it. Located high on a hill overlooking the Bay of Bandaras and the town of Puerto Vallarta I can't imagine a nicer place to see the beautiful sunsets every day - and, to watch the whales playing in the bay. We booked the Grand Junior Suite and the room was spacious and well equipped with king bed and kitchenette. Our very reasonable room rate included breakfast - which was always great with both a buffet and the ability of order speciality items. For dinner you should not miss sunsets at the open air, rooftop level Eugenia Restaurant. Check the time for sunset and reserve a table at pool edge thirty minutes before sunset time. It is amazing.
The hotel has three pools, one of which has a swim up bar, and other spots to dip into. There is also a well equipped gym to work off all the calories you may be consuming.
Because of the steep hill access to the hotel you will need a taxi or uber to travel to PV town at a cost of 60 to 100 Mexican pesos depending on whether you take a taxi or Uber and the amount you tip. The hotel runs a free shuttle at noon and 2pm downtown with a 5pm return if you don't want the taxi or shuttle.
All the staff were very helpful and the waiters were always attentive. Special thanks to poolside waiter, Raul, who was always happy to provide any food or drink you might want.

My partner and I stayed at this amazing hotel for 4 nights. From the time we arrived, until our departure, we had one of the best experiences ever. The staff was very attentive to all of our needs, even special requests with the concierge. The rooms are spacious and have breathtaking views (we watched the sunset every night from either our balcony, or the Sky Lounge). We felt especially comfortable with the additional COVID precautions the hotel staff was taking (temperature taken every time anyone enters the hotel and hand sanitizer stations positioned throughout the hotel and grounds).
The Sky Lounge is a MUST visit. Beautiful panoramic views with wonderful staff.

The only thing 5* is the location - you feel like in an eagle's nest with stunning views over the bay. Cleanliness is great. The rooms are spacious and of course the views stunning.
Tour coordinator Jorge is most wonderful with the best tips around town. The concierge Aurora was also very helpful. Not so much Aranceli from reception who was unable to void a salad adorned catch of the day when it was listed as sauteed vegetables in white wine....
Turndown service if done is 50% - one night they forgot the bath room. no bath towels changed and no bathroom refreshed, the other night nobody came, we called housekeeping they said they send somebody but nobody came.
Most of the employees do not really understand English. They say yes, but do not grasp what you asked for. The food in the top restaurant Eugenia is good.
Pool service? What pool service, nobody cares about your benches, towels, shadow etc. all self serve. Way too little benches for such a big hotel.
As usual all really goes back to Management, I often compare to the Four Seasons Hong Kong, for me the Hotel with the most immaculate service.
Breakfast has wonderful fruits but all the warm dishes are pork and beef. No vegetarian options but the oatmeal, the "butter" really is artificial margarine. All in all a cheap selection of dishes catering to a 3 star crowd.
the pool needs serious renovations, I hurt myself entering the pool as some tiles are cracked or have sharp corners. the pool uses chlorinated water. a serious health hazard. ozonated water or salt is the solution. there is no towel service, they have nobody in charge of the pool area. not enough benches for a big hotel. nobody really cares, just don't forget to tip. it is the life blood of the property. We paid over 600$ per night. really not worth it.

The view from this resort was absolutely spectacular and the location of our unit was magnificent to capture it all. We really enjoyed it because we went on vacation to just chill and get some well need rest. The staff was absolutely wonderful & did everything they could to take care of us and be of service at all times. Salvador Sanachez stood out as a 'gem" because he did everything he could to make sure we were taken care of and not need anything during our entire stay. If you are looking for planned activities or any activities at the resort itself, this is not the place to be and there is nothing else around it and there is not even a gift shop there or any area at the resort to purchase small items That was a disappointment but we still really enjoyed being there. However we probably would not stay there again.

The best hotel and service I have ever been to. The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful at every moment. Right we arrived, the bell man picked up our luggage from the taxi, sanitized it, and brought us to our room to give us a tour and show us everything. The rooms were so spacious and have the most gorgeous view of the ocean and sunset. They called us by our names instantly and were always running to carry our things and open up the taxi doors for us. VERY CLEAN and super covid precautious. When you arrive they sanitize your luggage, shoes and take your temperature. They also wore their masks the entire time. Alam helped us greatly to answer all questions about excursions and tours and car rentals and anything we needed. I will be staying here any time I come to Puerto Vallarta. Thank you for everything Grand Miramar.

Location was away from all the tourists but boy was it worth it.The views were incredible (BREATHTAKING) and the entire stay felt like luxury from beginning to end. The staff was so friendly and caring, they made sure you felt safe and taken care of at every moment.
The included breakfast was 5/5 every single day, homemade juices and a variety of choices that they'd change up daily. I'm going to miss that the MOST!
The Spa was luxurious and incredibly peaceful. We were so sad to leave, honestly could've stayed there forever.

We ended up at this hotel as guests for a destination wedding. Otherwise we would have never found it but we’re glad we did. We were originally booked in to a Junior Suite as were all the other guests in our group. When we checked in we were told that we were upgraded to a Grand Junior Suite. We came to the conclusioin that this was probably due to the fact that we going to stay two extra days after our group left for a total of six nights. The hotel arrainged for our travel from the airport to the hotel and as soon as we arrived there bellhops there to take care of our luggage. We were then greeted by a very friendly reservation person who took us in and seated us rather that standing at a counter. This was very comfortable after traveling all day. We were given a cool towel to freshen up and also a cold drink. After getting checked in we were excorted to our room which we found very comfortable. The view of the bay was great as was the pool area below us. We were on the fourth floor so we were not disturbed by and activities on the pool deck. The food service at the rooftop resturant was great and we had a very romantic dinner there our last night overlooking the bay and lit up town below. If we ever travel to Puerto Vallarta again this hotel will be at the top of the list.

Grand Miramar was an excellent value considering the views are spectacular, the resort was VERY clean and well maintained, our rooms were very comfortable and large, and the service was exceptional. Although it's a bit up the hill, there were plenty of inexpensive rides to the beaches and town and the short distance from the beach is made up by the best views in town. We hope to come back. It was lovely!

So authentic and elegant, peaceful and tranquil. This place is my escape from the chaos. The staff was excellent and attentive. Our suite was amazing. Can’t wait to get back there. Our arrival was son memorable because the host was so welcoming. He gave us cool, damp cloths for freshening up after our long flight then gave us some amazing refreshing cucumber drinks that had some chili spice in the brim of the glass. It was so nice. The amenities where nice. Loved the pool areas. Didn’t get up to the B tower bar but looking forward to getting there next year Grand Miramar, my new favorite place.

We usually take the city bus to Playa de Los Muertos Pier, drop off would be very close to Resort Playa Los Arcos at Romantic Zone wich is about 10 pesos (50 cent bus ride) from airport then we take a taxi to that Resort Gran Miramar 100 pesos ($5 USA dollars).
There are more places to choose from in the Puerto Vallarta area.
