This was our 3rd trip to Puerto Vallarta but the first time to stay at Hotel Mercurio. Great hotel; good location; wonderful heated pool and very popular bar. Our room was spacious and we appreciated the in room safe Very good location, close to shopping and wonderful restuarants. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Good mix...

I stayed here over Christmas and generally enjoyed my stay here but there are alot of pros and cons... The Pros: Location. Close to beaches, clubs, great restaurants. Probably the best thing this hotel has going for it is the pool/courtyard/bar/kitchen in the center of the hotel. They serve a really wonderful breakfast every morning, and they have a really...

I had a great deal of aprehension after booking this trip. I'd never been to Puerto Vallarta before and really didn't know what to expect. What a relief! I not only was satisfied with my choice but after being there a couple days it was obvious that I probably couldn't have made a better choice. Danny, Alfonso, Gabriel, Gorge, you...

This place is nothing more than a dirty brothel for middle age gay men. It is a dive that is dirty. The staff is lazy and the property attracts hustlers to its happy hour. The manager is very nice and the bartenders are friendly, but the desk staff is useless and the maids do a poor job cleaning the rooms....

The Mercurio is a rather small Gay-oriented hotel with most rooms centering on the pool/bar area. My room was on the third floor facing the street and was very quiet in comparison to the pool rooms. The staff was quite friendly, with one cute employee performing a spontaneous erotic candle dance. I can't guarantee that it will happen when you...

We expected to come to Puerto Vallarta and have a great time in a hotel that caters to gay people. They do cater to gay people, but it seems like the medium age is around 60. The staff was very nice and polite, the pics we've seen had to be touched up by photoshop because they didn't look anything like...

Good location but not many international visitors apart from americans. Would choose a beachfront hotel for the price difference. It felt like a motel, not an hotel

What a dump! Oh it was cheap but for the same price you can stay at the Hote Abbey. This hotel was noisey, the bathroom were grotty and the whole room smelled of mold. The room even had a commercial bathroom deorderizer in the bathroom. The Abbey was the same price but has new, clean bathrooms and balconies. The mattresses...

Great Place to Meet Friends and enjoy vacation. Great Breakfast Buffet served daily and not the same eggs every single day. One day, you had an option for omlette and/or pancakes. Pool was kept comfortably. The community created at the hotel, 4 star. I however, rate hotels based on accomadation standards versus how much I liked the place resulting in...

Talk about misleading - this is certainly it. This is bare bones. No frills. But the staff tries hard - all except for the lady who serves breakfast. Very slow, very unconcerned about the guests, and always unpleasant. (To the owner - get someone else. I ate elsewhere because she created such unpleasantness.) The room I had - well, at...
