If you are looking for a bargain and for a very Mexican experience, don;t miss this small friendly hotel. The employees speak very little English but don't worry, they will figure out what you need. If you're into creature comfort, this is not the place, but if you want an original Mexican experience this is the one. Only 4 blocks...

We arrived in Puerto Vallarta without accommodation, and this was the first place we went to. We had a slight communication problem first arriving, because the receptionist did not speak any English, and we did not speak any Spanish. We finally, after lots of laughter and confusion, figured out our accommodation and price. It was 300 pesos/night and we stayed...

On a recent stay we used the Molina for a couple days as we decided on our next excursion. Neat and clean mom and pop style hotel. Not fancy but adequate, and the price is right. Most rooms on 2nd floor, so if steps are a problem look elsewhere.

“some rooms on the 1st floor but others upstairs. if you have a problem with the stairs, make sure to notify them. Pretty sure they have a website to make reservations especially if it's high season because people who have been there before will book in advance.”
