My hubby and I stay at this hotel every time we're in PV, which is once or twice a year. The owner and staff are friendly and they're starting to feel like family! This is a no-frills hotel but it's clean. It is in Old Vallarta, walking distance to the beach and is in the middle of many restaurants with...

I booked this hotel with the understanding that it was very basic and in the process of renovating. The family who owns this hotel are sweet and friendly people. Laundry service was great. The day before we checked out, we had our laundry done. We dropped it off at 9am and returned to our room at approximately 2pm and the...

Back story: I stayed 4 nights at a Gold Crown RCI All-inclusive and I wanted to save on air fare so I booked this room for the gap between checking out of the RCI exchange and this hotel. I paid $21...TOTAL, on Expedia. Since I was traveling, I only had 3 requirements: A pest free room, a bed/roof and a...

The picture that tripadvisor is showing is not the right one at this moment, the hotel is remodeling and the front of the hotel looks creepy but when they took us to our room was very clean, and we really like to stay there, is very close to the pier like 10 minutes walk and the front desk attendant were...

If you are looking for a good budget option for a few days in the city this is a good bet. The location is wonderful. A few blocks to the river walk and less than 10 min from the beach/malecon and all the restaurants there. There aren't many rooms, so it was never noisy. Wifi worked fine. Good hot water...

Note: They just changed management a few weeks ago. I had to find a really affordable hotel for a long stay for my parents since they were fixing some paperwork in the area. We arrived to a different spot before getting here, and were deeply disappointed with that spot so we had to change hotels. Estela at the front desk...

I arrived Madero street after dark, and I was tired. After seeing only another hotel, I took the room for 300 pesos for single, which I later found out it was a bit higher than average on that street. AC was there, but 50 pesos more, which I declined. A small TV and fan were attached near the ceiling. I...

We slept at Hotel Hortencia for 3 nights and the owner Jorge and his wife were extremely welcoming. They remembered my boyfriend who stayed here before only two years prior and treated us like family. The room was on the top floor, had two full size very stiff uncomfortable mattresses, the shower had no pressure, there was a mini fridge...

“I am old, so requested ground floor, they made it happen. Rooms do have A/C if you need it. Has a fridge, great shower, very comfortable bed. Understand some rooms have two beds if needed, don't really know first hand.”

“No elevator. I lugged my heavy suit case up 3 flights of stairs to room #8. Dark stairways at night. Low level of security. You leave your keys at the front desk and anyone can walk in and either grab them or claim they are in your room. ALTHOUGH, the staff quickly learns who belongs to what rooms, so I never had any hesitation.”
