The hotel staff was friendly and the property was clean. We loved the location of the hotel, a few minutes from lots of restaurants, bars and coffee shops, but if you have a disability or are just plain out of shape, this is probably not the hotel for you. It's located up in the hills of old PV. The walk...

We purchased a great deal with non- stop flights for 2 people from Chicago including 4 nights at Amaca for 770.00 dollars total. So basically by my math our room was around 50 ish dollars a night. Great deal for a clean, simple hotel. Great location in the romantic zone ( the best area to stay in my opinion). The...

This hotel is far from a luxury hotel, but it is affordably priced ($88 USD for a king sized bed with small outdoor balcony). The hotel sits on a hill, so get used to walking up the cobblestone streets. There is no elevator in the facility. It is a quaint old style, traditional Mexican hotel. What truly "makes" the place...

There is about 25 steps to get into the lobby of this hotel, and the are all different sizes so you fee like you are limping. The front desk staff speak good English and are very nice.We booked the hotel because it was pet friendly, but there is no green area for the dog to go,that was frustrating. They also charge you 250 pesos...

My friend and I visited Puerto Vallarta and stayed at the Amaca Hotel for 9 Days. We had a room with 2 queen beds. Our room was on a lower floor but still have a bit of a water view. The beds and bedding were decent, there were plenty of pillows. The air conditioner worked well. Reading through some of...

I find the 1 star reviews pretty funny. The things that people complain about don't seem that important to me. My girlfriend and I found this place via TripAdvisor. We'd normally pass up a 3 out of 5 star in search of something better but nothing available was in our price range. We went back and read the reviews, of...

Our room overlooked a pile of debris partially covered by a blue tarp. There was no desk or table in the room, in fact, the walls were bare of ANY sort of decoration. The control box for the ceiling fan was broken an it presented a safety hazard. The bed frame was worn and the leather was dirty, brittle and...

The staff is friendly, and the property is clean. Some artwork and updating in the rooms would make for a more enjoyable stay. Rooftop bar was not available, and never found pool towels. I would stay here again for a short trip for sure.

Made a reservation on booking.com. Terms stated that a 1 night deposit was required and that room could be cancelled up until 24 hours before arrival with 100% refund. I booked, provided my credit card details on booking.com and received a confirmation email from the site. You would think that would be that, right? That's when it began. The next...
