We asked for a recommendation on tripadvisor Mazatlan forum of a hotel with a kitchenette in El Centro. We were directed to Loro de Oro. It was a very good choice for our 8 night stay. The inn keepers, Tony and Lucy, were very hospitable and prompt and efficient in attending to all questions or needs of their guests. The...

We had booked one night's stay here prior to checking in at our resort and I wish we had much more time. The location is excellent, only 1 block from the Plaza Muchada and 5 blocks from the malecon. Our rooms were spotless, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We had a "mini" kitchen with sink, apartment size frig, microwave and 2...

About 10 years ago my husband and I visited Mazatlán, México for the first time and stayed at the Loro de Oro Inn situated conveniently in el centro historico. We had such a good time that we visited the city again and again over the years. We just returned after spending a month at the same inn that enticed us...

Staying at this beautiful, well appointed inn has been a delight. Beautiful tile, stained glass, and quiet greets you here. The street view is deceiving for how classy an apartment awaits you if you take the large unit. Plus, the locations is fabulous! We are a block for the Plaza Machado and can walk anywhere from here. Our friends have...

What a fun experience spending time with Tony and Lucy, the owners of the Loro de Oro Inn. Tony has many interesting stories to tell and Lucy is an exceptionally talented seamstress and cook. The inn is lovely and located right in the center of the charming "old town" area of Mazatlan. Within very easy walking distance are many really...

My initial visit to Mazatlan was to attend the Semana Santa Motorcycle show with a friend (male) I booked early but neglected to tell Tony I'd needed two beds (my fault) being a busy week Tony however went out of his way to make the changes in the room. I also have a clunker car I leave in Mazatlan Again...

My husband and I stayed with Tony and Lucy for a week in March. We stayed in the suite and the room was great! The stained glass doors and carved wood bed were definitely my favorite features. The inn is located in a perfect spot, just a block from historical Plaza Machado where there are tons of great sidewalk cafe...

After finding an unbelievable last-minute deal on a flight Wednesday night - I found myself in Mazatlan Thursday afternoon. After spending time visiting and catching up with various friends and grabbing a late dinner - I realized that I was way past the hour of reasonably checking in anywhere and found myself in an awkward position... I had not booked...

This was the third year we stayed at the INN for a month in January. The room we booked was overbooked for 2 days, so they put us up in their best room which was a super start to our "get-away-from-winter-blues vacation. Loro de Oro is half a block from the Machada Square which features local Mexican artists and good...
