My wife, 3 adult children, and 3 family friends stayed at the El Cid Moro for just over two weeks! There are a lot of good things to say about this place but the best thing about our stay was the Activities Staff, specifically Cinthya Ibarra, Darynka Olmos, Cesar Lizarraga, as well as one of the lifeguards Carlos Estrada. They...

My boyfriend and I had overall a great experience at this resort with the all-inclusive plan! The best part was the daily activities by the main pool. The activities staff (Cesar, Darynka, and Cinthia) were amazingly enthusiastic, hosting and participating in everything from making paper flowers to blackjack to beer drinking contests. We looked forward to seeing which activities were...

Our room was ocean front with an incredible view. Clean and redone recently We have been coming to El Cid for about 10 years and feel like it is our second home Most of the waiters greet us with open arms. Josue' Komero is wonderful in the La Concha restaurant and Thomas can't be beat on the beach or poolside...

We stayed at the El Cid, Mazatlan location because the Porto Morelos location was booked. We are trial members with El Cid and thought we would be treated the same if not better because we are trying out El Cid and may invest in their vacation membership. Boy were we wrong! We experienced that this location was much different to...

This is our 3rd stay at The El Moro. It was excellent again. Room was a 1 bedroom on the 14th floor. Newly remodeled. Pool was jumping and staff was great. My 10 and 13 year old daughters love this pool. Negative: Beds were rock hard. I found it tough to sleep on. Positive: Great location in Golden Zone, nice...

Pool side bar and Patio dining, ask for Angel. He was extremely helpful and efficient. Ninth floor maids did a great job. Rosy, Rosy, Rosy the concierge helped us with everything. Overall the property was upgraded and maintained very well.

The one thing we look forward to every year when visiting the El Cid is the Beach Volleyball. This year the court was removed to make room for more palapas. Carlos the Lifeguard and Cesar the Activities Coordinator went out of their way to set up a portable court and allow time for high caliber beach volleyball games. Thank you...

I saw the reviews signing the praises of this place, and I wonder "where did these people stay?" This place is average at best. Not enough to pool chairs or beach chairs, okay food, dated and tired accommodations, lack luster service. I would not stay here again.

Here is reason why it's not worth to go all inclusive. 6 restaurants available for dinner. Buffet Mexican (R) Italian (R) Japanese (R) Argentina (R) Seafood ($) All (R) requires a reservation and at least a day before (you can only book it from the day before the diner) and seafood restaurant is not covered under normal all inclusive. 3...

“the only issue we had with our were the pillows on bed and the water in the shower going from one extreme to the next(freezing to scalding hot)”

“We had the one bedroom suite on the 16th floor with a balcony opening over the ocean--VERY nice--two bathroom, small kitchen, marble floors. Very sweet ladies who cleaned the room.”

“Great accommodations on the 28th floor - Moro location. Wonderful stone & marble décor - slippery when wet - Kids be careful - don't run indoors :)”

“The floors were not cleaned properly. The kitchen cabinets have a dinge effect although looked clean. There could of been one more kitchen towel in the unit. I would say --even though- we enjoyed the view and definitely the location of the room--it could use an upgrade in decorating. Overall our trip was wonderful....like the folks in Mazatlan; along side the cleanness of the city!! Really enjoyed seeing the downtown restoration work! Bonita Mazatlan!!”
