We just returned from four nights at the Quinta Real and we absolutely loved it! We have been all over Mexico the last 20 years and have stayed at El Tamarindo, El Careyes, Villa del Sol, Ixchel and many others and have to say, while not as foo foo as the others, it was damn close. For the price, I...

This was our second stay at the Quinta Real, the last being about 6 or 7 years ago, I believe fairly soon after the hotel opened. While I'll admit the place wasn't in quite as good of shape as when we were there the first time, I strongly disagree with other posters' comments that the hotel is worn and needs...

The Quinta Real Huatulco is a beautiful, small hotel overlooking Tangolunda Bay. The white buildings reflecting the bright sun reminded us of Santorini, yet the thatched palapa roofs reminded us that we were in Latin America. We spent many hours on our balcony reading, watching and listening to birds we don't see at home and spotting iguanas. One morning, we...

The good news was the interesting architecture, privacy, and pleasant workers. However, we tried to communicate regarding room choice prior to the stay and made no progress, then were given a small room overlooking the highway. Although we requested a change repeatedly over the week, we were never assisted. The meals were in a beautiful setting but limited and overpriced....

My husband and I spent a week (Mar 14-21) at the Quinta Real. The hotel is beautiful, but showing a little wear and tear. All of the rooms are NOT suites. We spent the first two nights in a "Master Suite". It was no bigger than a regular hotel room with a terrible view. The room smelled musty and felt...

This is a beautiful, small (about 25 rooms) luxury resort hotel on the coast of Mexico in an area that has not been overdeveloped and ruined. It is 20 minutes from the Huatulco airport, which is served by Continental Express Jet (and possibly other airlines, but that's how we got there). The setting is gorgeous. I believe all the rooms...

My husband and I spent a week in a friend's condo at the Camino Real Zaashila in Huatulco which was very nice. We then finished off our trip with 3 nights at the Quinta Real. It was stunning, pictures I saw online didn't do it justice. Our suite had a spectacular view, the staff were lovely, food great and I...

My husband and I stayed at the Quinta Real shortly before Christmas this year. We had never stayed at any of the QR properties, but I am now looking forward to staying with QR whenever possible. The hotel itself is gorgeous, with impeccable attention to detail. (I never got over the ornate patterns of stones in the concrete!)Although it is...

For the last week of our trip to Mexico we were looking for a beach resort with a wow factor to relax in after our Mexico City & Oaxaca adventures and the Quinta Real didn’t disappoint! During the first part of our trip everyone who asked us where we were staying in Huatulco said that the Quinta Real was fabulous...

Hotel location is beautiful. Our room had a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean. Beach and infinity pool were fabulous. Although elegant, the room was worn and there were small ants in the bathroom and on the terrace. The hotel had a can of Raid in the closet. Service was excellent and staff were helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Breakfasts and...
