Los flamingos an icon of old Acapulco may not be for everyone but is for those who want to be spellbound by one of the most beautiful sites on earth as one looks out to the watery blue curvature of the earth during a dramatic sunset! The historic property was once the hideaway of the Hollywood gang incl. john Wayne...

We visited last night for their Pozole a large group of friends and what a wonderful evening was had by all. I had an opportunity to sample all the types of Pozole and I have to say I'm a fan of LF. The sides of avocado, chicheron, jalapeños, red onions, radishes and other really give the Pozole the flavor and...

This hotel is a testament to the glory days of Old Hollywood, with old photographs of the stars of bygone years and Johnny Weismuller's bungalow. A bonus extra was that I saw whales from the cliffs on which the hotel is constructed. Well worth a visit to look around the place.

We loved this hotel. It has seen better days, but full of charm and courtesy. We got a junior suite with a view of the palm trees and sea..... John Waynes' private hotel for all his holly wood friends. Johnny Weissmuller ( Tarzan) lived here... Amazing sunsets, Coco loco cocktails, cheeky racoons taking tidbits from your hands.... We loved it...

We stopped here as part of tour of Acapulco. We did not stay in the hotel. It is the best of old Hollywood who stayed here and apparently was owned by Johnny Weismuller and John Wayne. We tried the Coco Loco - a drink created for John Wayne by two of the waiters who worked here. It is a must...

Although we only had a day to spend at this hotel we could see it was one of the best. Particulary interesting was Johnny Weismullers bungalow and all the photoraphs of the Hollywood stars who have stayed there.

Well another year has come and gone and I must say that this year was the best vacation ever at Los Flamingos. I was able to stay for 3 mos. It was wonderful. The hotel is not modern by any means but it has so much character and ambience that cannot be matched. The employees and the guests of the...

I've stayed here many times over the years. Worth it for the history alone. Johnny Weissmuller fell in love with Acapulco while shooting a Tarzan movie there. He bought this hotel from the original owners in the 40s and started inviting his Hollywood friends, making it the hideaway for the Hollywood Jet Set of the 40s and 50s where the...

The hotel has got one of the most beautiful views in Acapulco. From your balcony you watch the sunsets and feel at ease. The atmosphere still has some of the charm of days gone by with Johnny Weissmüller or John Wayne and the Old Hollywood Gang. Recently it has been renovated and you even have a passable Wifi at your...

Our guide recommended we visit this establishment to experience the history, the view, the sunset and a drink, and we are glad he did. We spent a magical couple of hours on the deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean with friends and a couple of coco loco cocktails dreaming we were some of the many Hollywood celebrities who have sat on...
