Big hotel with good rooms and decent service, wifi, but the restaurant food was disappointing, the margaritas dilute and the breakfast though highly varied, not extremely rewarding. The staff were excellent.

This was the hotel recommended by our trip advisor, however we were quite disappointed. Altho the staff was friendly, the room on the to floor needed renovation. A/C was VERY noisy, bathroom had rust spots in the sink and tub. We moved to another hotel the next day

Review, Hotel Palacio del Sol, Chihuahua, Mexico I recently stayed at the Hotel Palacio del Sol in Chihuahua and found a great value near the colonial center of the city. The hotel offers a great location just a block from the Chihuahua Cathedral and the pedestrian shopping plazas. Several museums are within a walk including the Casa Chihuahua. The CHEPE... More

We arrived by El Chepe (The train that goes to Barrancas del Cobre) around 11h00 Chihuahua time. Nothing was opened so we went to bed in room 304. I had read that the hotel was not well situated and that the food wasn’t good. Also, it was ranked 48th on 98 hotels by Trip Advisor. But I had no choice... More

I've stayed in this hotel for a couple of time over the years, being from the state of Chihuahua and having lots of family that live nearby. I recommend this place to locals or people that know their way around downtown. However, I only recommend this to tourists that have someone pick them up and transport them around town. This... The rooms smell bad, they are very old, the carpets are dirty and everything looks old. The place is very expensive for what they charge and the service is really bad. There are lots of good hotels around and would recommend any of them, but not Palacio del Sol. We stayed there just for one night horrible place.

We stayed here as part of a tour package. I noticed that previous reviews were mixed. Our experience was as well. The hotel, while renovated a couple years ago, is showing its age. The room was sizable and on the 15th floor with a lovely view of the city. It was decorated with ornate draperies and furnishing. Good internet connection... More
