We love San Felipe! That is wounderful small rural town, so peacefull and quite (well, we were in the mid-week, out of season), do not expect much of night-life in this village. The beach is wounderful and El Cortez has the best chunk of it....More

We stayed at the "El Cortez" hotel for over a week last month. They have canceled our reservations initially because we didn't pay a deposit (when we made the reservations three months earlier they told us that no deposit was necessary). Anyway, we got the...More

We drove down from the Northern Yosemite area. It took us 12 1/2 hours. We had e-mailed the El Cortez for a reservation and was told it was not needed as there were plenty of rooms. That was true. Upon arrival, we found a very...More

Let me begin by saying that the El Cortez is situated on what could (emphasis on COULD) be one of the most beautiful beaches in northern Baja, with breathtaking views that change as the day and tides progress. San Felipe offers a laid back location...More

For the hotel staff or anyone with answers: I have emailed reservation requests to Hotel El Cortez in San Felipe 8 times. I go on line, fill out the questionaire with specific answers, dates, type of room, etc and I haven't heard back from the hotel since November. I just sent another request today. How are we supposed to make reservations otherwise? I do not have an international plan on my phone.
