If you are interested in an up scale modern hotel, don't go here. This is an old rambling home with an outdoor kitchen all can use. Nice garden next to the kitchen with lots of places to sit and relax. It is one small block from a walking mall with lots of restaurants and shops. Our favourite was Agave Restaurant...

THE only place to stay in the beautiful town of Loreto!! Fantastic rooms, spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms are roomy and have wonderful showers. A beautiful garden to sit and relax, or enjoy the sun with a cup of coffee. The proprietors, Debora and Gerardo, are so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them, they offered great advice and...

La Damiana Inn is the perfect place to discover Baja. Summer or winter, it's comfortable, welcoming, and full of Mexican character. I've stayed in this tranquil spot in the winter, spring, and summer and recommend the Inn and Loreto highly - whatever time of year you are able to journey there. While Loreto's not the easiest place to get to...

I've stayed three different times at this wonderful little inn. Deb, the owner, is always there and very friendly - making your stay extra special. The service and attention to detail is top notch, and the location is right down in the heart of Loreto. Highly recommended, excellent value, beautiful little Inn by the sea.

Our family of 4 had a one week early Jan. 2015 vacation together in the Baja of MX. We had not really planned to visit Loreto this trip, but our whale watching trip on Magdalena Bay was cancelled for rain, unusual we were told. I guess it happened so we would go to Loreto and experience this lovely town and...

My wife and I, as part of an intimate tour group visiting Loreto and then the Sierra San Francisco, very much enjoyed our stay with Gerardo & Debora on Dec 6 & 7 and then Dec 13 2014. We had a gorgeous, spacious ensuite room that was quiet and cool. The Inn is charming - you must take time to...

What a great experience I had at the La Damiana and in Loreto for my first trip to Mexico. 98% of the hurricane damage in the city was cleaned up and this property is fully functional. This property is within walking distance of too many fabulous restaurants to mention. The food was fantastic and authentic Mexican. The city square, the...

This was our second visit to the Damiana Inn. This place is the best. The first time we were here was 4/2014, we extended or stay just to hang here a little longer. This time 12/2014 was only 2 nights but I hated to leave. The grounds & rooms are just my style, casual, relaxing, clean & comfortable. The open outdoor kitchen...

After 10 years working in the hospitality business and traveling lots of places for work and pleasure, I have stayed in hotels large and small, and frighteningly cheap to $800/night. I hit the jackpot when I just spent 5 nights with Debora and Gerardo. La Damiana is hands down the nicest place overall I have ever stayed at. This is...

La Damiana Inn warmly welcomes travelers, including kayakers, in need of a place to organize themselves before an adventure – or recover after one! It offers spacious, colorful, Mexican style rooms, large tiled showers - and hammocks in the garden in which to read the books thoughtfully provided in each room. There is good WiFi and a kitchen for those...
