We stay at 1697 when ever in Loreto. Located in town center, warm and friendly staff and owners. Kieran creates the best craft brew in Baja! Clean cozy and wonderful food. Located just a few minutes to the malecon.

I warmly recommend to stay at this hotel and to enjoy a dinner here as well. Rooms bigger than in other cities of the Baja, cleaner and more comfortable. The irish owner is friendly and helpful and all the staff is nice as well. If indulging at the restaurant, try their chilli relleno (much better than those in La Paz)... More

I suppose I shouldn't complain, but based upon the other reviews I read before making this reservation, I expected more. The good: - a very clean room - great price - location. The not so good: - noisy (both traffic noise and neighborhood noise) - no place to hang clothes - bathroom sink had no hot water - I was... More

On our second trip to Baja we decided to stay again at Hotel 1697 both on our trip down and back the peninsula because of the great location, kind host and hostess and the fantastic craft beer! Kieran and Norma run a great restaurant and tiny hotel right on the plaza. Kids appreciated satellite TV and wifi after being in... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a week. My wife had not been to Loreto before. I had been there on several fishing trips. The hotel is in the center of the square. The hotel features a restaurant next to the bungalows. We had plenty of meals on our veranda from the restaurant. The food was good,... More

We stayed here in June 2016. The best part is the location right in the town square but only a 5 minute walk from the beach. The night we were there there was a local dance recital just outside and we enjoyed getting a little taste of the local culture. There were lots of great restaurants within a few minute... More

The location was very good right on the main square, but it was very quiet. The parking was good, it's a very small and intimate hotel with only four rooms we think. Our room number 7 was at the back of the property, the bathroom was nearly as big as the room. Norma & Kieran were very helpful, providing maps... More

Decent spot nestled right beside town square. Good room with 2 queen beds, fridge, coffee maker, toaster, dishes and small sink. You could call it a mini kitchenette.Clean and comfortable but nothing fancy. Room 9 a little on the dark side, and a bit of noise from bar / kitchen in the evenings. Overall a decent budget hotel
