We have now stayed twice at Las Gaviotas and we'll be heading back there again. We were booked there through our fishing guide the first time and we liked it so much that we specifically requested the repeat reservation. The pool is the best we've found at several different locations in La Paz and the pool side, personally cooked breakfasts...

We brought our three kids with us on our trip, ages 7,9 and 10, and they had a wonderful time. We recommended Las Gaviotas to our neighbors, who were also traveling with children, and when they told us of the less than stellar review left by the couple from La Jolla, I just had to write! Our kids had a...

We enjoyed our stay here. Great location, large comfortable suite and such friendly and helpful hosts. The rooms have everything you need and we are told that they will be redecorating them in the next year.

We needed a 2 bedroom hotel room and Las Gaviotas worked out extremely well. Clean and very spacious with full kitchen, living room, huge balcony over looking the Malecon and Sea of Cortez. Great value for $140 USD and very clean as well. For Canadian standards we were very pleased and will return. The Malecon street can have a lot...

Our review is based on the fact we have children and we stayed there for a week. I would rate the hotel higher if we did not bring our kids which the hotel is not suited for. We liked the room which was a good size room and the bed was comfy. I would have preferred they upgraded the tv...

Las Gaviotas Resort is a wonderful gem of a place to stay in La Paz. The spacious rooms (that can easily accommodated a family of four or two couples traveling together) are homey and charming. The balconies were a fabulous spot to have a margarita after a day of walking on the Malecon. Gail and Chalo are excellent hosts who...

One block from the Malecon on the quiet end of the beach, but close to restaurants, fun people watching and easy access to museums and stores. Gail and Chalo were a great source of ideas and information. Rooms were quiet with good views and kitchens (originally built as apartments). It was very comfortable for hanging out in the hottest part...

Just got back from a week in the Baja and stayed here 2 nights. Huge, comfortable, 2bdrm 2 bath condo type rentals. Large balconies with a grand view of the Mallacon and the bay. The decor was a bit tired, but everything works and the beds were comfy. The hosts Gail and Chalo were very friendly and helpful. They were...

We were heading for a quick getaway to LaPax from our kitchen remodel in San Jose del Cabo and were referred to Gail and Chalo's place. It was perfect! We brought our teen-aged daughter along, and our large suite had a separate room for her. Our beautiful, spacious suite had a fabulous view with large lounging deck. They are all...
