Excellent whale shark excursion with Sergio and Javier! The price was good, the guides and boat were excellent, and the sharks were incredible. Highly recommended. Sergio even emailed us underwater photos.

If your main objective in La Paz is to snorkel or dive with sea lions and /or whale sharks, Club Hotel Cantamar is a great place to stay. They have a fleet of boats, ships, and pontoons for their various tours, and the hotel is located in the harbor with their fleet. I was able to get up in the...

5 tanks/2 days diving with club cantamar. We did not stay at the hotel, but it seemed nice from what we saw of it. The guy in the office at Malecon is a hot mess, but don't let that put you off. The guides - Sergio, Anna, and Julie - are fantastic and incredibly accommodating. The boat captains are excellent...

The hotel is in a great location if you are looking to explore Tecolote and Balandra. We chose this hotel because of it's location being the closest to those areas. The ocean around the hotel is beautiful and calm. The water is turquoise in the bay. You feel like you are looking into an aquarium when you look anywhere near...

Don't be put off by the sloppy guy in the Malecon office. The dive trips organized by Cantamar are really good. I had the pleasance of diving with Julie, the guide. She stayed really friendly and enthusiastic even after she was challenged by some over demanding Germans. Really professional and a grand day out.

We did not visit the Hotel, we just hired the snorkeling tour with the sea lions at Isla Espíritu Santo. Everything was extraordinary: Ana and Sergio, both Spanish natives, plus local Captain Armando were very knowledgable, well organized and as enthusiastic as if it was their first time (and actually we did this after spring break's extremely busy season!!!). Gear...

Excellent experience. We arrived on a cruise ship and Rodrigo was there to pick us up in a very nice van. Our guide Julie was amazing. We were a little inexperienced and she made sure we were safe and having fun. Our boat captain Javier, got us up close to the whale sharks and also made sure we were safe....

I didn't stay at the hotel which honestly looked like it had seen better days but the tour of Espíritu Santo Island was fantastic. Great staff, friendly and very comfortable trip. Got to swim with Sea Lions and spent time at a great beach spot. Would highly recommend them for the tour at least.

I started writing Mr Ramirez (the Hotel Manager) about staying at Club Cantamar several times before arriving in La Paz. I wanted to know about dive trips to Espirito Island and w/the Whale Sharks. He assured me that tours went every day from his Club and I would enjoy my dives with the finest dive masters in all of La...

This review only refers to boat trips I did with Cantamar. Overall, I was very pleased with their service. All the crew, starting from the office guy (marine biologist) to skipper (Armando) and guides (Jorge and Javier) were attentive, informative and helpful. We got a briefing before we entered the water as to how to behave in order to stay...
