This was very easy to book a hotel right on the Beach in Ensanada, Mex. February 20-23 2017 so will be there for Fat Tuesday! YES! secured walkway down to the beach is great, parking was convenient. They were remodeling the guest suites while there but not at night and were very helpful....the only thing I did wrong was I booked twice thinking the first one did not go through and they did not refund the booking fee for it. Live and learn!!!

Our trip to Ensenada was a wine-tasting visit to the Vallé de Guadalupe. This motel is very conveniently located, about a mile north of the bustling city of Ensenada and about a 20 minute drive to the wine-tasting country. From original contact with Barnabé, to check out, we were treated in a friendly, professional manner. The rooms (we opted for ocean-front rooms), in this older motel, were clean, spacious and the beds very comfortable. The bathrooms were on the small side, but not a major concern. The entire staff was pleasant and helpful. There are a number of excellent, nearby restaurants, including fine Italian and Méxican dining and a super micro-brewery next door. Being away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Ensenada was a plus!

Great stay, we booked through a hotels website and paid in advance. The room was clean and comfy. Staff was nice. It is about a ten minute drive north of Ensenada so we really only slept and showered here. We had a garden view room which was a little small, but not an issue. We are a family of four with an adult sized 14 year old. They also have an RV area which looked nice. It was a short walk across the parking lot to get to a nice overlook of the ocean.

If you are looking for a bare bones place to stay near Ensenada, this is a good spot. Clean safe and the people at the front desk are nice. There are beachfront rooms available at a higher cost. I stayed in non beachfront room. An uber ride to town costs about $3.

Everything was great. It seems to me one of the major issues with hotels in Ensenada or Baja in general is the water. We were able to take warm actually hot hot showers and our beds were very comfortable.
