This place is comfy and cozy. i really relax when i go here. The price is ok on Sept and Oct...but, in summer they are high for this place and crowed. The rooms now have t.v. and wifi, something in the past lacked.

This is our 2nd year staying at this resort. We enjoy it. This past year the rents increased to 630.00 a month for our space. The summer gets pretty busy. The staff is nice. The restaurant food and drinks are great. They have rentals there too if you dont have an rv. We reccomend as a clean and safe place to lodge.

It is unfair to list this as 'Ensenada' for many reasons. First, if you want to be closer to the border - you are! It is 72 km (45 miles) below Tijuana. Once you become accustomed to crossing, you will arrive about 45 minutes after you get across the border. Many friends leave their trailers here and come down every weekend from Seal Beach in two hours, two and a half from Hollywood.
This property is under new ownership and management, and they aim to please! They are revamping everything, and continue to do everything in their power to please everyone. The pool is shocked daily. The pool bar is open. The restaurant includes a renowned San Diego-based renowned Mexican chef every weekend. New coin-operated washers and dryers were just installed - or the housekeepers are more than happy to wash/dry/fold your laundry for only P50 (US$2.50)!
I recently moved my 42' fifth wheel from another area RV park, where I spent the Winter. There were many reasons for moving, like washing machines broken for two years. My main concern was the mixing of 'weekend warrior' campers with full-time campers - and no noise control in place! It is a complete zoo of duelling stereos there on long weekends and from May to October! Baja Seasons has an RV park on either side of the resort. Full-timers live on the south side. Weekenders and any potential noise-makers camp on the north.
I look forward to my new life here. Come down and pick your spot, ask for the manager (Ivan - good English). He will put in plants, grass, patio stones - whatever you want to make that longterm spot your own. The place is wired for 50-amps, but has mostly 30-amp plugs. If you need 50, it will be changed over to a brand new plug before you arrive.
Ensenada is 34 km (21 miles) south, for day trips, Sunday strolls by the marina, everything a small touristy city has to offer, and stores like Costco. Rosarito is 44 km (27 miles) north, for great grocery stores, Home Depot, Walmart and great shops and restaurants. However, La Fonda is only an 8-minute drive to several nice restaurants, and La Mision for very authentic restaurants and a well-stocked hardware store.

Let’s start with villas which were overpriced , for what you get . One bathroom had shower curtain on floor upon arrival . Window on floor in master bedroom . No television or wifi . Had kitchen but no pans or anything . Pool was murky and jacuzzi not working . Only good part is that it has a nice beach . Don’t buy anything at pool bar beers are 4 dollars and shots $20 ? Don’t waste your money seriously run

When you arrive at your hotel at 7 pm, do you expect someone to be there to check you in? If the outside temperature is 45 F (7 C), do you expect a heater in your room? Do you expect to have hot water? Do you expect to have a lock on your door stronger than the lock on your home bathroom door? If you expect any of the above, you will be disappointed at this hotel. We pre-paid for five days. We left after four days. There was no heater in the room. and it was cold. The first 2 1/2 days we had no hot water. It was winter, the off-season, and we got a good price; only $70 American a night, including tax. But, I believe most $70 rooms have hot water and a heater. By the way, there is no air conditioner for summer, either. I asked for a refund for the 2 1/2 days we did not have hot water. They told me, "Every hotel has problems." They told me I checked in a day early. This was not true and I showed them my receipt. They told me I must have operated the facets incorrectly (give me a break). They let my girlfriend and I use the showers provided for the RV campers, but they were 200 feet away and it was cold outside. The ocean view and the beach were beautiful. If you are an RV camper, this is the place for you. But, understand, hotel policy is "No refunds, no matter what." After all, "Every hotel has problems."

We stayed for 1 night and the the man checked us in and gave us 1 regular key with the room 904 at the hotel. After checking in we found the shower head would spray 360 degrees every where and would get the whole bathroom wet. We had to drape a towel over to keep from spraying everywhere. This is the scary part here...at about 1:30AM we heard the front door open and when I got up I confronted a man standing at the door with a key in the lock and as he saw me he said sorry I didn't know the room was busy. WTF!!!, He stepped out and I closed and relocked the door and put a chair in front of the door since there are no deadbolt locks on them. When he left I heard him tell a woman down the hall that there was someone inside and they both laughed, WTF!! We were terrified and could not sleep the rest of the night. After checking out the next morning I told the guy working the front about the incident and all he said was I'm sorry and I'll let the manager know. I will never trust staying here at the hotel again. My sister told me she stayed here a few years ago and found the door to the hotel room would not lock and anyone could have walked in. BEWARE of the hotel here.

My family and I, a group of 8 people, and our GS service dog stayed in a 3 bedroom villa in Baja Seasons during COVID-19 pandemic. It was nice, and very convenient, because it has a stove and a refrigerator but you have to bring all of your kitchen utensils.
Having a mixture of visitors from Mexico and the USA in the resort, it was an interesting experience. One sad thing was the attitude of some USA tourists. They seemed to forget they are guests in Mexico, and do not show respect for Mexicans and their house.
Mexico's official languages are Spanish and indigenous American languages, not English. Do not expect people speaking English. It is a courtesy to have people speaking English, not a duty. I 've seen USA visitors acting in a shameful entitled manner, arrogantly hollering because hotel or store personnel do not speak English. It is a shame, and does not help at all to improve the image of the USA out of the USA or the relations between neighbor countries. When we demand respect, well, let's show the same respect.
When someone visits a house or a country other than their own, they should have the courtesy to learn about their language and culture. It would be better to "Treat others the way one likes to be treated"
I wonder how would these same USA visitors would feel if anybody, say a German or a French, or a Chinese, or a Spanish speaker appears at their home, or their neighborhood demanding and hollering with entitlement and arrogance that they speak their language?

When we decided to extend our RV roadtrip to Mexico, we looked for a park with good sized spaces, a pool, a beach view, friendly staff, in a good location, and that was safe. We found all of those in Baja Seasons. We arrived for a month in July 2016 and extended our stay to 6 months.
It’s a very convenient location, being right off the Tijuana-Ensenada road (at km 72.5). We were heading north (came over from California at Tecate - great place to cross) and Baja Seasons is off the south-bound lanes but it was easy to turn around at the Oxo/gas station about a mile north. It is roughly half-way between the resort cities of Rosarito (to the north) and Ensenada (to the south). We love this location because it is quiet and we have a choice of places to shop, each about 45 minutes to the north or south. Both cities are well supplied with stores – from the big named ones like Walmart and Costco (Costco in Ensenada only) to the local favorites such as Callimax and Soriana, as well as small independents. Local panaderias (bakeries) are excellent, as are the taco stores and stands.
The park has lots of RV spaces, a hotel, villas, games areas, a swimming pool and spa, and a restaurant (open at weekends during low season).
We found it easy to get our 30-ft travel trailer sited – the pitches are wide, long, and level – and still have room for our truck in front of it.
The staff are great – friendly and professional. Some of them speak a little English, one or two have excellent English (ask for Jorge or the manager). There is also a lovely night watchman who patrols the park and stops people entering the park who shouldn’t be here.
There is no onsite store but there’s an OXO about a mile north that is well-stocked. We tend to shop in Rosarito once a week, at the Callimax or Walmart. Commercial is also good but a little more expensive. We shop every couple of weeks in Ensenada – at the Costco, Soriana, and health food store.
Other people have commented on the ATVs in the park. This was more of a problem in the summer (only at weekends, though) but it calmed down a lot – I guess because of complaints. We have seen staff talking to the drivers. They have put signs up to stop children driving them (really!) and to prevent them from going on the grass and through pitches onto the beach. We find them annoying and wish they would go to the far reaches of the park, which are empty of RVs, but it isn’t really much of a problem now, even at weekends.
The park is well-run and very clean. They clean the pool twice a day, whether it is used or not. It appears to be under new management - he's very capable and has great ideas for the resort's future. They are sprucing up the pitches that aren't in use (at the far reaches of the park), and are planning on installing a laundry and store. There are also plans for a coffee shop, which would be lovely.

PROS
Great location – midway between Ensenada and Rosarito, right on the beach, mini markets and OXO nearby, gas station (with diesel) nearby, great cantina just down the beach.
Restaurant (open at weekends).
Lovely swimming pool with sunloungers, and spa pool. Weekend pool bar.
Good level pitches, long and wide.
Good utilities - electricity (30 amp - there is also one 50 amp pitch), water, and sewage. Other parks in Mexico only have 15 amp electricity.
Resident cats! Almost every other RV park we have stayed in in North America has had a problem with mice – resulting in very expensive repairs for some RVers. Not at Baja Seasons, as the excellent manager wisely choses not to kill the family of cats that have taken up residence. Not only do these beautiful cats take care of any passing rodents (we haven’t seen a single mouse in 4 months, which is a relief as it was a battle in other parks), they also eat bugs. We’ve had ants, but you expect that at the beach, but no other bugs. We’ve seen a few cockroaches outside but they quickly get gobbled up by the cats. Other people have told us that their resorts and hotels put down poison for feral animals, not so here – so pet animals are safe too.
Friendly, professional staff. Several English speakers (ask for Jorge or the manager).
Good wifi in hotel lobby and computer room. Some RVers in the beachfront lots say they get wifi there too but it doesn’t reach other parts of the park.
Peaceful - the resort's location away from cities, busy stores, and bars makes it very restful. Chose a pitch away from the road if you are bothered by road noise.
~
CONS
The price - it’s $40pn or over $500pm (well over for beachfront lots). Like other big resorts in Mexico, Baja Seasons charges US rates but without giving US facilities. This is just the way it is in the area. Nearby Clam Beach is slightly cheaper but less spacious and they don’t have a swimming pool. If Baja Seasons became a Passport America park it would be the most popular RV park in Baja California! If you can, stay for 6 months, it works out much cheaper.
Water outages – we had expected loss of power and water in Mexico but it’s much better than we expected. We’ve only had the power go off once (for just a few hours) but the water goes off a bit more frequently. No problem if you know about it though. Our water pump is broken so we keep bottles of water for bathroom purposes (with a little bleach as a preservative).
No laundry. Fortunately, the good weather means you can wash clothes by hand and dry them outside. There is a laundry in the nearby village of Santa Anita (but we’ve never managed to find it!). The park is planning on opening an onsite laundry in the future.
No store – but there are OXOs everywhere and mini markets at La Salina and Clam Beach.

OTHER INFO
We wished we had put more effort into learning Spanish before we arrived in Mexico. We thought it would be more bilingual, like Canada, but it is very Spanish. We spoke to several policemen who didn’t speak English and many stores don’t have any English-speaking assistants. Baja Seasons does have English-speaking staff, which is a huge bonus (you may have to ask for them). They will call a taxi for you and give directions and suggestions of places to visit. (Ask Jorge or call Jesse at La Salina Cantina if you need a translator for anything else.)

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
For those who miss the excellent California health food stores such as Sprouts, we found a great one in Ensenada – Mercados el Roble.
La Buffadora, about 20 miles south of Ensenada, is well worth a visit. It’s a natural blowhole, where a massive spout of sea water that’s incredible. A word of warning though – the road down to the blowhole isn’t accessible by car, you have to park at the top. The road is lined with interesting stores and restaurants but there’s a big drawback. The owners/staff stand outside calling tourists in and they are very, very persistent. It’s like running the gauntlet! If you’re OK with that, then you’ll love La Buffadora. If you’re not, then you might be better joining a tour group, as they seem to be harrassed less. We were two women on our own and found it a little intimidating. Then we got used to it. Then we just found it annoying. We left before we punched someone.
Puero Nuevo - about 15 minutes north of Baja Seasons. It’s a pleasant little community on the beach, famous for its local lobster. (We’re vegan so I can’t comment on that – but the vegetarian tacos are great!) There are lots of restaurants, a great choice. This is another place where the patrons come out to tempt you in so be prepared. But friends have made some wonderful purchases – beautiful tops and dresses. You can park in a parking lot outside for a few dollars – easier than driving in and trying to find a space on the narrow roads.
La Cantina at La Salina – is a short beach walk north of Baja Seasons or a 1-minute drive. It’s run by the charming Jesse, a friendly, helpful local who has superb English. The cantina is frequented by local ex-pat Americans (and some Canadians) as well as tourists and surfers. It has a great atmosphere, great food, cold beer, and isn’t over-priced. Jesse is a great person to know – especially if you run into trouble with the police, just call him and hand over the phone to the police. He’s a great translator and knows the way things work around here. A very important person to get to know and love!
SAFETY
Before arriving in Mexico, we did our research. We learned three important things: not to go out at night, not to frequent bars, and to get 100 miles south of the border. Since being here, we flout two of those three things and we’re fine! We don’t drive at night, though. The [free] roads can be unpredictable for potholes and speed bumps, wild/stray animals wander around, and many areas are unlit. Night driving isn’t safe but driving the rest of the time is very similar to driving in the US or Canada. The Green Angels (dial 074) patrol the toll roads to rescue any drivers with mechanical trouble. They are superb – and free (you just pay for parts).
People from outside Mexico always ask us about safety. Honestly, we feel fine, very similar to how we feel in US and Canadian parks. Locals say if you don't do drugs and don't frequent dodgy bars at night, you'll be OK.
Out of courtesy, do try to pick up a little Spanish if you can. Locals appreciate it - and it amuses them, listening to our awful pronunciation!! We have seen many people come down with quite arrogant attitudes, expecting people to speak perfect English and cater to their every need. This is a relaxed, friendly country, on a different wavelength. If you can get into that mindset you'll absolutely love it.
~
One last tip - stores or restaurants that give you the price in US dollars are often more expensive than those that use pesos. The ones using dollars are catering to tourists and decide on the price going by how much you look able to pay! The exceptions to this are establishments in ex-pat areas (such as the cantina at La Salina).

Upon arrival the resort displayed strong security features which made us feel comfortable. A $50 spot that includes electric, water and sewage for the trailer home. Plus space for the tents.
Beach front views were amazing. Pool was kept clean. Bathrooms were cleaned throughout our stay. Security patrolled at night. Keep in mind that they do not enforce noise and music levels throughout the night. Which can be good for an all night beer drinking race or bad when you're trying to sleep.
I rate this resort a 4 star because they shut down the water for half a day but overall we will come back.

We arrived in early February and were told that they had just switched to high-season rates. (FYI, these were over 60% more than the off-season.) However, we were the only guests--the pool was not ready, jacuzzi was cold, restaurant was closed, bar was closed, no hot water the first night and the front desk wouldn't even sell me some ice. We were told that there was no wi-fi. Location is lovely and our room was large and clean. Paying for amenities we did not receive taught us a lesson.

We're camped there now. It looks like around 100 sites. There is a row right on the beach - with ramps or steps down to the sand.
There are some photos on their website.
Monthly rate is $518 for an interior pitch, higher for a beach-front pitch (we're interior so I'm not sure of the beach-front pitches). We chose interior because last year we were near a lake in the winter and the winds off of it were strong, we we wanted to stay away from the water.
It's cheaper to stay longer - they do 6 monthly rates.
Power is included, even in winter.
There are more places to choose from in the Ensenada area.
