The resort give you the feeling of Thailand.
The service and the workers was super professional, I’m happy and satisfied with my stay, the room was clean, well positioned resort and with free transport to the beach. If you stay at Phu Pha, make sure to eat their delicious food.

If you want to feel like you are in the middle of a rainforest this is your place! Lovely little secluded area, really cool design of the tree huts and surrounds.
Faultless staff, so friendly, happy and helpful.
Shower was great
Unreal value for money, almost feels criminal
Little out the way from Main Street but a super quick walk. As a solo traveller I had no issues walking to and from.
Sadly I didn’t get to enjoy this hotel to its full as I was suffering with terrible food poisoning(from Phuket!) but it was a lovely place and would thoroughly recommend.

Mosquito haven, don’t forget your repellent!
Bed was a little hard but that is fairly normal for Thailand.

Nice room and pool but that’s it. The location is pretty far out and the shuttle bus only runs at 11,2,5 and 7. The hotel is filled with screaming kids and families so not ideal for a relaxed stay. The gym should not be called a gym. All the equipment is old dusty and broken. As a regular gym goer I found this disappointing. When we got our room cleaned often times we were given toilet roll or soap etc.

The hotel located far from the town. In summer, the hotel was empty and they were making very noise construction work every day. Staff speak no English, but they use swimming pool. No proper restaurant, same poor breakfast every day.

We stay 8 days, they charge 9. They are not willing to pay the extra night back.

The pictures of those quaint log-cottages are absolutely true and for real!! The ambience is picturesque... quiet & cosy!! The resort is beautifully posed against a gorgeous cliff which overlooks the swimming pool. I never imagined that a Swiss- Chalet concept would be so beautifully re-created in tropical lush style. The staff is extremely helpful & courteous. The rooms are beautifully done up and comfortably posh for the very reasonable budget. Renting a scooter from the hotel to take a spin around the beaches and main street is fun thing to do, as we drive through the pretty lane winding around this hotel and its gorgeous surroundings. The breakfast is made to lovely home-made perfection as well. I highly recommended it to my friends visiting AoNang... and likewise everyone else too...

Firstly, please don't book here! The hotel clearly states that they have a spa, steamroom, a gym...they don't exist! I went in January and have waited to calm down before writing this but they are still advertising these things despite my complaint to Agoda. They still don't have any pictures of these areas up for that reason...they are still lying.

The poolside bar also doesn't even stock any drinks let alone anyone serving them. This is a Muslim run hotel, so they also don.t serve alcohol despite the misleading statement calling it a 'pub'.

We tried to complain but each time their English was so poor we got nothing other than the chance to have someone come to our room for a paid massage, we wanted a spa not a massage. It was only our fourth day the manager was actually working who speaks good English, they had torn the spa and gym down.

Our AC broke twice here as it has for others and the AC man kindly left a deposit on our toilet, I was furious by this point!

This is also not walking distance to the beach, it would probably take half an hour. There are many better hotels closer to the beach for the same or less money.

The few good thighs are the quirky rooms but there are gaps in the windows which all sorts of bugs get through. There were also many cobwebs in the shower which weren't cleaned while we stayed a week here. The pool is small and if any children are staying you can assure your stay won't be peaceful either.

We did get half our money back after complaining but we shouldn't have been tempted by lies in the first place as a gym was very important for us and we wouldn't have booked otherwise. Save your money or spend is somewhere that really has the facilities it is charging you for!

Spent seven nights here in mid-April, and chose the hotel for its beautiful setting, quieter location and affordability compared to some of the nearby top end hotels. It’s set away from the noise of Ao Nang’s main street, close to the majestic limestone cliffs the Krabi area is famed for. However, it’s still close enough to the beach and the variety of dining options, bars and tour booking desks along the main road and sea front. The walk to and from the beach is quite do-able, although in the strong sunshine and 36C heat during the middle of the day it’s particularly sweaty. Unlike the review further down, we had no issues walking in the dark back to the hotel. Yes, part of the road is unlit but there’s very little traffic, and we enjoyed the fireflies, distant thunderstorms and the sounds of nature after dark. Hotel does offer some transfers but are not very frequent, ranging from every hour to every 3 hours, so if you don’t mind engineering your day around these you’ll get to and from the hotel in a more refreshed state. At other times you can book the hotel’s tuk-tuk, costing 50 Baht per passenger to the seafront.

The design and grounds of the hotel are beautiful – if only more hotels in Thailand were designed to have such a minimal environmental and visual impact, unlike the concrete monstrosities going up nearby. The gardens surrounding the pool are full of palms and other exotic plants and are well looked after, attracting colourful butterflies. The only noises are really the sounds of bird song and insects in the forests clinging to the steep slopes nearby. Pool kept clean and we never had any issues finding sun loungers, and there’s usually a few in the shade of the palm trees throughout the day. We were able to swim after dark until around 2100, a nice experience under the starry skies. Used the bar/restaurant area at the pool a couple of times at lunch. Food was good and menu is surprisingly large. As you might expect it’s a bit more expensive than you could get in town, but it’s a nice option for those days you just want to relax in a peaceful, attractive setting by the pool.

The rooms themselves have mostly timber exteriors and interiors and are on two levels. We requested an upper level room, which we were pleased to be given. Room a little dark and dingy, and I imagine the ground floor rooms to be even darker. The air conditioning worked well. A few mosquitoes in the room, nothing unusual for Thailand, but not really helped by the gap at the top of the front door, and around the wooden sliding doors to the balcony. Do spray up with deet before bed. Had some issues with low water pressure from the shower before breakfast time, presumably when there was a lot of demand. The pebble floor in the shower is really not comfortable to stand on. Toiletries are provided but there really isn’t any space to stand anything in the shower or bathroom in general. Please just build one or two shelves! A fridge is provided as is an in-room safe, but this is not secured to anything, so a thief could simply run off with the entire safe and open it at their leisure. We went most of our stay under the belief that the rooms could not be locked from the outside, as the keys only serve to open the door rather than lock it. However, you just need to make sure the button on the door handle is pressed in from the inside before leaving (sorry if that’s obvious) – maybe the staff could just explain that when showing guests to the rooms. You need to leave your key at reception when going out.

Breakfasts were simple but sufficient, especially for the price we paid for our stay. Loved the fresh prepared fruits, including mango, dragon fruit, pineapple and melon. Also enjoyed the eggy bread and pancakes with honey and chocolate sauce. Other options included cereal, yoghurt, fried/scrambled eggs, the usual breads and pastries, but didn’t care for the cheap rubbery sausages! The step surrounding the middle serving area is be a major trip hazard, especially when contemplating breakfast options. Land adjoining the breakfast area is a little scruffy and home to crowing roosters, but better that than overlooking the main road in Ao Nang!

Staff were mostly pleasant and helpful but if you’re asking for anything other than your room key or a tuk-tuk you might find there’s a language barrier. One particular young man at the desk was less pleasant, no smiling, no eye contact and very little to say. He was happy to leave four of us waiting at reception for a good while, just sitting at his computer in the office behind.

A good choice overall if visiting Ao Nang, would stay here again.

The resort itself is... Inaccessible.
We were lucky as we had a car.
However fancy it may look, there are many mosquitoes at night.
The room itself is very creepy.
We had our electricity cut off in the middle of the night.
Wouldn't go back again.

The location is quite secluded which was perfect for our relaxing part of our holiday. We hired a scooter from reception which works out cheaper than getting the tuktuk all the time but the hotel is only about 10 mins walk from the centre. The rooms were amazing. Sitting out on the balcony at night (covered in Mozzie repellent) was a perfect end to our days out. So peaceful. The pool is beautiful. The breakfast is also fantastic. You honestly feel like you are in heaven here. One of my uber favourite memories of my holiday.

Each building is 4 ensuite rooms - 2 up and 2 down - good aircon, upper ones have a small balcony and no-one walking on your ceiling! Plenty of non-meat choices, also non-fish options - breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food is good and very fairly priced and cooked to order - we liked it! Enjoy.
