Well. First this resort is NOT in Krabi as advertised, it's in Tonsai - a lovely beach 10 min BOAT from Ao Nang (it is the only way to get there, there is no road, and it is like 1h drive from Kabi to Aonang then 10 min boat to Tonsai). Boat is a long tail boat, will cost 100... More

Amazing location. One of the simplest hotel I ever staid and one of the best in the same time. No electricity from 6am to 6pm (Who cares?) No air condition (who needs that?) Friendly staff. Free lockers for valuables (take your own padlock)

DO NOT STAY The accommodation at Mountain View Resort is exactly the same as every other place on Tonsai only 3 x as expensive. You do not get ANYTHING extra for that. In fact, I stayed at Pasook in November and at least they had more than one plug in your room so that you could charge your phone as... More

DON'T STAY HERE! I don't have many good things to say about this "resort"...how can you call this place a resort??? Too expensive for what they offer!! The bungalows are in very bad conditions!! The Mosquito nets have holes everywhere and have been put on the window using tape! Electricity is available ONLY from 6 pm until 6 am and... More

This place exagerates their facility. This is the lowest of the lowest. We had no water both days. Said they would fix it first day but still woke up next day with no water. Mold in bathroom, rot in walls. Power is only from 1830 to 0600, with only one plug in to charge your things. No light in bathroom,... More

Probably not a 3-star class Thai hotel either. (Unless the rating system is very very different from Western standards) Tonsai beach is well known for being a backpacker/climber area so keep that in mind before you book accommodations here. Most of the options are budget friendly but likely not so much hygiene friendly. We stayed one night July 2015 (low... More

This is NOT a resort. They do the cheapest and bare minimum things to be nicer than the competing lodging. The rooms are nicer than the competition, but they miss lead us on purpose to stay there. The "resort" only has power in the rooms from 6pm to 6 am. I woke up everyday at 6:30am when my room heated... More

My three friends and I had planned our travels and accommodation very carefully, as one of us was working as he traveled and needed internet access. We were therefore very annoyed when we arrived at this resort and discovered that there was no power between 6am and 6pm, which the Mountain View Resort does not advertise anywhere on the internet.... We stayed for 3 nights in a private bungalow with ensuite. The room was spacious with wet room style bathroom. The bathroom did have a bit of a toilet smell but that's nothing unusual to Thailand... The monkeys running around were pretty cool to see and the backdrop in the mountains is really pretty. Lots of local bars and restaurants,... More

“New” bungalow, #128, 1100 Bt. • Electricity only 6 pm - 6 am. Two sockets in highly uncomfortable places where you cannot place your appliance. Fan only. Only cold shower, but unusually strong. • Have mosquito nets on the window • The fan was squeaking • There was a crank in the wall • You can hear bass sounds from... More
