I am writing this review two years after I stayed here. Let me say... epic experience. As a Canadian it is far from what is normal in our suburban world, but that is what makes it incredible. My girlfriend and I stayed here for seven days and it was paradise. I still reminisce about my time in Ao Nang and...

We stayed in Laughing Gecko in february for six nights. We loved the place! The bungalows were simple but had mosquito nets and own bathrooms. The toilet was an asian toilet and the water was cold. I didn't mind it though. I thought it was just luxury to have your own bathroom. We had frogs and geckos in our bungalow...

It was my first time traveling in Southeast Asia in over 20 years, and this time I had the pleasure of going with my grown kids. My son had stayed at the Laughing Gecko back in December with several friends and loved the experience so much, he wanted to share it with his sister and me. We arrived after dark,...

My partner and I, and a couple we were travelling with had the pleasure of being hosted by Nui at the laughing gecko for over a week in January. The accommodation was basic but it wasn't portrayed to be anything different and was priced accordingly. It had what you needed, a toilet, shower and a comfy bed with a functional...

It is the right place to stay for who loves nature and looking to spend time away from many tourists and big crowd. Gecko is very natural place, situated in excellent quiet place but just few meters from the coast, restaurants and shops. The owner, Nui, is amazing, very helpfull and welcoming person and it always was a pleasure to...

We stayed at the Laughing Geko Bungalows with a large 9 person group for several days. Nui, the owner, was very accommodating, laid back , and extremely friendly fellow. The Bunglows were nicely located just off the beaten path to make you feel at home but close enough to experience local food and the nighlife Ao Nang has to offer....

We happened upon the Laughing Gecko huts by chance.. One night turned into one week! The charming owner Nui is fantastic, he speaks several languages and will bend over backwards to help anyone. We loved everything about this place, from the superb shared dinners to the lovely quiet beach and visited again a month later on our way back through...

Our trip wouldn't have been half as good had we not stayed here. Nui is the best and most accommodating lodging owner I have ever met. He is super friendly, incredibly helpful, and a hell of a guitar player! Our bungalow had everything we needed, and the breeze waking you up in the morning is priceless. I'd say the highlight...

Laughing gecko was just an overall positive experience. The bamboo bungalows create a true "thai" experience. The owner, Nui, did everything he could to make our group of 15 twenty-somethings comfortable during our stay. We were a group of American English teachers living in Thailand and chose to stay at laughing gecko for part of our Christmas vacation. Nui made...

We (married couple with 2 teenage daughters) stayed here at the start of our Thailand trip and enjoyed our stay so much we decided to spend the last night here as well. Nui is very caring and will do whatever he can to make people feel comfortable and relaxed. Basic accommodation but the place had a very laid back, relaxing...
