Chantal is a very accommodating host - I had made a mistake in our booking and she moved things around to accommodate us at very short notice. I got the strong impression she really cares about Venice and takes her responsibilities very seriously. We had two apartments for 9 people, the Vintage and the Smart. Both super clean, roomy with washing machines and air conditioning. We really liked the location as it was close to the Fondamente Nova to get a vaporetto anywhere including the Biennale, but tucked away from the Strada Nova. If you are expecting a fancy resort or an apartment with chandeliers etc this is not for you, but for good value, clean and a responsible host, I would recommend.
I had a fantastic stay at Chantal's Chromotherapy residence! I was in Venice performing Shakespeare and the apartment was close to where we were rehearsing. It was very peaceful, no noise at all from the neighbors. It was just a beautiful in person as in the photos and Chantal was very gracious, showing me the space and making herself available if I needed anything! It has a wonderful view of the canal below as well as the beautiful Venetian rooftops across the way!I would definitely stay here again and would refer her to any of my traveling friends!
The location is in a quite and peaceful neighborhood. it is easy to get away with noisy tourist crowd. it's a 7-10 mins walk to the Rialto and St. Marks. a good way to explore Venice. Supermarkets are in walkable distance. some nice cicchetti places nearby, The landlord is passionate and helpful.
Nice apartment, very good location and extremely nice owner. A man selling fresh fish just by the corner, good restaurants even serviscing mostly local workers just beside, no problems with neighbors. Well connected by public transport. A big hospital near ( I do not know if they are stil using tools which are exhibited)
I stayed in Chantal's place for two months and it was such a great experience! Everything is clean and equipped in the house. It is located in a convenient spot to go to small islands like Murano and Burano. Less than 10 min walk to the center of the city. And plenty grocery stores for daily shopping. I recommend it 100%!!
