I was told by friends to try that I would love it .The reception we received was very gracious and friendly.the staff were efficient and the ambience was lovely with subtle lighting and music.but for me a fine dining experience is all about the food and unfortunately this lacked on a number of levels. The starter of veal was tasty...

Myself and my husband were recommended to stay here by a number of people. For valentines night our close friends invited us to dinner in the Mustard seed. We all booked to stay over that night, including our friends dog ( who was spoilt with a steak supper:-)). On arrival, after a very warm welcome , we settled before the...

This gem of an owner run hotel is the only Blue Book entry in County Limmerick. This was our second visit but will not be our last. The welcome is warm, the food is excellent and the rooms delightful. On the down side, wifi is patchy and there is little to do in the immediate vicinity. It is a great...

We had our wedding at the Mustard Seed in April 2015. We had a civil ceremony in the beautiful sun room (room for 35 guests) followed by a prosecco reception, meal (for 75 people) and music & dancing. The day was totally perfect in every way. We planned the day with John Edward, Breda and Dan who were extremely helpful,...

We went to the mustard seed for dinner and overnight stay. From the minute we arrived we were welcomed with open arms. The fire was lit. The tea and biscuits were served and we were able to sit back and relax! Our room was lovely with everything you need provided. Dinner was gorgeous and the waiter recommended a great wine....

We like to plan for our holidays, but don't like to book everything, leaving room for the unexpected adventure. The night we were passing through Adare, and going to the racing event in Limerick was one such night. We read a short review of the Mustard Seed and set out to find it. When we pulled up, we were met...

We just returned from our third visit to the Mustard Seed, and it never disappoints. A comfortable, gorgeously appointed Inn, with a wonderfully attentive staff. I felt completely at ease there from my very first visit, and love it so much, I keep going back year after year. And that is just the lodging! The restaurant is an experience unto...

We just returned home from over a week at the Mustard Seed at Echo Lodge and couldn't wait to write this review. Not only was the hotel charming, the food glorious, the proprietor fantastic but there was something for our whole family to enjoy the entire time we were there. What a terrific way to experience Ireland with Dan, the...

We arrived a bit early and were shown to a nice sitting room by Dan the Proprietor. It was actually more of a dining experience than a dinner, 5 courses in all and each one better than the other. the wait staff were for the most part very in tune to our needs (they did have a full house, that why...

I'm Just home from a delightful stay at the Mustard Seed. We two, over-tired parents needed a break away and that is just what we got. We were warmly welcomed by Dan and John Edward into a.... warm and cosy, firelit, books and paintings everywhere, slouchy couches, beautiful old bedroom, delicious four course meal, a full night's sleep, papers over...
