Wonderful country retreat within easy reach of Adare Village. Also close enough to Limerick city for day trip. Stayed here with a group of lady friends for two weekend nights. We were so well looked after, our every dining and accommodation need was met by friendly helpful staff. Rooms are old country style and the attention to detail is amazing.... More

Old style country restaurant in a beautiful setting. Warm welcome on arrival, drinks served by the fire, very relaxing. Then we were brought to our table, every course was amazing. The food was top quality and presentation was beautiful. All the staff were nice n friendly. Looking forward to returning.

We loved our overnight stay with dinner at the Mustard Seed restaurant. The hotel is wonderful Irish Country House comfortable elegance and warm service. Our room and bath were clean, quiet and comfortable. The house is chock a block with interesting furnishings and souvenirs of years of history. We peaked into the music and game room after dinner and a... More

Beautiful Old Style Country House in a beautiful setting. The dinner menu is very different and the food was certainly amazing. The thing I most liked about the Mustard Seed were the staff and especially the manager who could not have been more helpful.

My family and I were really looking forward to visiting The Mustard Seed given our previous fantastic experiences in this restaurant. However, we have to say, we were hugely disappointed with the experience - particularly given the hefty prices charged. We were brought into the lovely living room to sit by the fire to have a pre dinner drink. This... More

The hotel was a bit hard to find, but worth the effort. Lovely grounds. The staff was wonderful - friendly, helpful and willing to go more than the extra mile to make us comfortable. The food was so good that after eating dinner the first night we immediately booked to eat there again the following evening.

It is hard to exaggerate the charm of the Mustard Seed at Echo Lodge. John Edward, Breda and their team create a distinctively Irish and very homely atmosphere (if you happen to come from a very nice home!). It is a million miles from a Ritz Carlton or a Four Seasons – the decoration is eclectic country house. The bedrooms... More

We recently moved to the area and were looking for a nice restaurant. We are not to far from Adare, Kilmallock or Newcastle West here, but this is by far the nicest food I have found nearby. The quality is absolutely excellent for that price. For the same price we usually get a much lower standard and the staff wouldn't... More

I must confess at the beginning I was apprehensive about going away for a weekend away so soon after a very recent bereavement. However I am so glad I did go to the Mustard seed last weekend. The welcome we received from start to finish by John Edward and this staff was superb and genuine. The food was top class... More
