New owners have made significant changes for the better. First class bed and breakfast accommodation and food. Very warm and cosy traditional inn atmosphere. Lovely menu with homemade food. Great pub / inn. Very pleasant indeed.

This Inn is nothing like described. Had 2 rooms a single and double booked. Check in time was from 1400hrs. Arrived at 1700hrs. Place looked dererlict. No table chairs outside no old fashioned wheels against building no hanging baskets out at all. Nothing like their photo. AND it was all locked up. Hand written postcard pinned to door saying 'dear... More

Dear Lynne 6863, Its not often that i respond to reviews as i think people do have a right to express their opinions. Please let me clarify my version of the events and explain some of the points that you make. As we are a Bed and Breakfast( and not a hoteL), with only 3 rooms we do do not... More

The "hotel" rooms are very average, they could now do with a refurb. They are most certainly not worth £100+ a night!! Also when we got there early on the Friday afternoon there was nobody there, the pub was shut and the owners had gone shopping and left a note to call them to find out how to get into... More

This place is in a backwater village, but is a delight. The room was comfortably furnished and the bed really, really amazing - loved it. Breakfast was cooked to order and used all fresh local ingredients. The host is friendly and responsive

We stopped here for lunch and was greeted with a warm welcome from the young lady from behind the bar she asked if we were having lunch and would like to see the menu and asked us what we wanted to drink. She came and took our order with a smile. The meal when it came was really lovely and... More

I arrived and was greeted by a shoeless guy with socks complete with holes. He was pleasant but it was odd. I had dinner and chose 3 different items all of which were unavailable. The room was ok but needed the cobwebs removing. I will not stay again and I stay in this area every week. Potentially awesome!

My sister-in-law had a birthday so we came to The Bell Inn to celebrate her birthday. We had very good service from the staff immediately upon arrival. The food was quite delicious as well as the drinks. We had previously ate at the Inn once before a few years ago and thought it would be nice to come back again.

A wonderful traditional pub complete with warm welcome, log fire good beer and beautiful food. An absolute gem. Nice warm clean room, wifi, parking, reasonably priced and tailor made breakfasts! The steaks looked really nice, I had the pasta with was delicious. The local ice cream is also very moorish! Will stay again if in the area!
