We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate my Nana's birthday and were very impressed from start to finish. Rooms spacious and food a good standard for breakfast and dinner. Well done to all of the staff for making us so welcome

Squeaky floorboards and comfortable rooms in this lovely old converted Mill House in beautiful grounds. Fabulous bar meals and formal dining in the restaurant. The breakfasts are amazing and memorable- the best we've had in an hotel. Fantastic selection of cereals, grains, fruits and nuts and a lovely selection of tasty and beautifully presented hot food. You won't go away...

Inconsistent serving portions but food was lovely. If you asked for one type of meat, you were given one slice but if you asked for 2 types of meat, you were given 2 slices! But all food tasted good. Salad available for those not wanting full roast. Staff were attentive and friendly. Prices fair and available on the menu up...

Visited the mill for a family meal (12 of us) last week end and had a great meal. We stuck to the special menu and for £20 I was served delicious juicy prawn cocktail followed by chicken balmoral, again beautiful juicy chicken breast served on haggis and mash plenty of fresh veg and roast potatoes then sticky toffee pudding and...

Rude, incompetent and poorly trained staff, demonstrating no management or leadership. Staff were totally indifferent to the needs of their customers, bordering on downright rudeness. TV on in the background not conducive to a celebratory dinner! In other words, awful ambiance. Food mediocre at best - and over-priced too! Prawn and crayfish martini lacked any crayfish, whilst the desserts were...

Came on an Itison voucher for B&B and Dinner on a Saturday night. Hotel was too warm if anything and staff very attentive. Chef made an extra effort to accomodate our vegetarianism although the Moroccan dish was slightly over spiced for our taste. Red house wine was excellent and breakfast very acceptable.

Stayed here for 2 nights in late November. I wouldn't recommend it On the first night there was a Jacuzzi on in one of the other rooms all night. I sleep with ear plugs when travelling and was three rooms away and it still kept me awake most of the night. When i complained about this I was told returning...
