Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My partner and I were gifted a stay here for our engagement. We were delighted by every aspect of our stay- the room was very comfortable, immaculately neat and well-maintained; & our hosts were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the best attractions, wineries & restaurants in the area. Highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights at the Hunter Haven and expectations were beyond remarkable. The room was warm and cosy with an ensuite. The hosts were just as friendly and informative, thus enhancing the Hunter Valley experience, making us feel right at home.

Collette and ken go above and beyond to provide their guests with the ultimate hunter valley experience. The accomodation is wonderful, I'm missing the bed already. Breakfast was fantastic. Ken is the man with amazing local knowledge he even got my husband a beer drinker enjoying a wine. He mapped out a great day for our family which my hips are now thanking me for. Collette is so engaging and her breakfast won't be beaten. Thanks guys for our precious memories.

My partner and I stayed 2 nights at the Hunter Haven and it was exactly what we'd hoped for. The room was cosy with an ensuite. The hosts Colette & Ken are very friendly. We particularly enjoyed our conversations over a glass of wine by the fireplace. They know the area very well and were extremely helpful to advise us on places to visit. Breakfast was lovely, with a lot of choices. I highly recommend this place for any couples looking for some quiet time in the hunter.

There are very few places that I have encountered in my 3 years in Australia that have been so friendly and welcoming! I cannot recommend hunter haven enough, Ken and Colette were the most delightful hosts, so welcoming and accommodating, cannot thank them enough, kens knowledge local and beyond is so impressive, felt part of a family for a few days! Thanks guys 😀

We stayed here for one night. Ken and Collette were very warm and welcoming, and I got given my own room instead of sharing with my parents. As we ordered breakfast, we chose to eat on the verandah. But before we came to breakfast, Ken and Collette realized it was too cold outside, and very kindly put is inside their warm dining room. A very beautiful place to stay, very close to the vineyards, and very hospitable people.

We stayed with Collette and Ken at the HHB&B for a Saturday and Sunday in May and would recommend them to EVERYONE. We did not know what to expect and were quite nervous about our stay as we had never been to a B & B before. From the moment we made our booking they were very helpful and once we arrived we felt immediately at home. We were promptly shown our room and given details for our questions about our stay and the local area. We had to drag ourselves away from our wonderful conversation to go to dinner which had been recommended by Ken and Collette. In the morning our delicious breakfast was served on the verandah in the glorious morning sun before we went on our 1/2 day wine tour. Ken was our guide and his wealth of both local historical knowledge and the fantastic Hunter regions history and wine was truely amazing. We were given a briefing before entering the wineries and businesses visited about what to expect and what he felt we would like based on our tastes and he was always spot on and was backed up by the wineries sales persons. An amazing time had by my husband and I, and we truely felt like we had known Ken and Collette for ever. Thank you for such a lovely weekend, we could not fault you and your business.

We spent 2 days at Hunter Haven B & B. We were made very welcome by our hosts who made us feel really at home. The cooked breakfast was beautiful with a good selection to choose from. A tour of the Hunter Valley was included and was most enjoyable. Ken was really knowledgeable about the area and the venues visited were interesting. Our room was very comfortable with a few very nice touches such as chocolates and a nice bag of toiletries. I would recommend Hunter Haven.

Great location within 10 mins drive of vineyards. Wonderful views of the hills from the veranda, fantastic breakfast and a huge beautifully furnished en-suite room. Everything was spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished. Best of all it felt like home with hosts who made us feel at home as guests rather than paying customers. Honestly, THE BEST and friendliest B&B I have ever had the pleasure of staying in.
