Whilst Porvenir doesn't have an awful lot to offer we stayed here for three nights. This enabled us to have time to see the King Penguins, explore the architectural trail around town and to visit the Lagos de Cisnes. Our hosts were lovely, nothing was too much trouble and they were a font of knowledge on all things local. There...

We stayed just one night while touring Tierra del Fuego & visiting the King Penguin colony. This place is cozy and comfortable - feels rather like visiting friends. The rooms are small (to be expected as it's and old homestead converted to hostel) but they were spotless and comfortable - had a good night's sleep & breakfast was delicious! Restaurants...

A unique hotel in a far away corner of Chile. We were here as part of a photographic trip to the north and south of Chile. The hotel was a renovated home. It was simple, clean, and run by a very nice, helpful couple. Our room had 4 twin beds -(but we couldn't talk any of our traveling mates into...

This is a lovely place to stay. Nice comfortable rooms, tastefully decorated with artesian touches. David and Vincent were fine hosts, we felt like family. Pizza & hot chocolate were the best... Especially the hot chocolate! We were sorry to have missed David's dolphin tour too.

The room was a bit basic and the hall light shone through the window at the top of my door (until I turned it off). Very friendly owner and he set up breakfast early upon request. Beware that no lifts, only steps to get to the bedrooms.

Totally unexpected! Excellent atmosphere, space rooms, extremely friendly family who is running te hotel. Service minded, outstanding breakfast after many lousy breakfasts on our cycling trip through South America. Great place where we would have liked to stay some more days. Porvenir is a nice typical laid back Chilean village as Puerto Natales used to be in the past. Don't...

Good place to stay In particular if you enjoy bird watching. Very friendly. Old house very nicely fixed up. Owners run the place. They have very good advice and pointers about what to do around Porvenir and Punta Arenas. I stayed for two nights with my family. Good coffee and hot chocolate.

Friendly, helpful staff here. Our room had a nice view of the waterfront. Comfortable bed. No evening meal option but there is a small Croatian restaurant nearby. Breakfast was OK, great scrambled eggs. It would have been nice to have fresh fruit juice rather than squash. Free WiFi worked well. Overall a nice place to stay.

Hosteria Yendegaia does not look like much, and it does not have much in the way of amenities, but it is a quaint, clean bed and breakfast run by a friendly family. In many ways, it is like coming home, with a comfortable lounging area and clean simple bedrooms. The provided breakfast is good, and there are several good restaurants...

We just loved this place, we stayed three nights and could have stayed a month. Our hosts were so lovely, friendly and helpful and the building felt so homely and welcoming. There is a lounge and coffee shop where delicious pizzas are available and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and the breakfasts are plentiful and varied. Highly recommended.
