Have eaten in the Thai restaurant recently with friends and have had a take away from the restaurant . On both occasions the food has been excellent. Very tasty, fresh and good value. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Went last night with friends for the first time since the Crown became a Thai. The ambience is really nice, although it was very quiet for a Saturday night. Really good menu, service was probably a little slower than we would have expected for such a quiet night- but when it did arrive the food was really really good. Fresh,...

Was like being at a Thai restaurant in my own home. Salt and pepper squid was outstanding. Fantastically priced for the quality of food! After having a takeaway we intend on experiencing the same food delights at a table in the Crown. Whilst waiting for my Thai food I enjoyed a pint of Peroni, great pint, well looked after pipes!...

I stayed at The Crown Inn, Benson for 4 nights at the start of the month. I had such a wonderful stay, with myself and my partner. We had a lovely room with a comfy double bed. During our stay we were visiting the local area and some old friends. The location on the B&B is perfect there is a...

I arrived and all looked well. However after a change out of business suit I went down to the bar for food only to be told that the chef had walked out with a bad back. It was only 20.20 and food is supposed to be served until 21.00. As a single female I did not want to venture out....

The Crown hotel has only one good point and that is the very helpful staff. It has just been refurbished or so we were told; if you call a lick of paint and a few new carpets you will understand our disappointment. Even the ceiling in the bathroom was covered in mildew and peeling. The electric heater in our room was...

We arrived at the property on a Monday at 1:15pm hoping for an early check-in (normally 2pm) but the whole place was shut! A member of staff arrived to 'do the lines' at 1:15pm and informed us that there is no food on Mondays so they do not open until 3pm. He did, however, advise us where we could get...

Went for Sunday lunch and was not disappointed. We were a party of 8 adults and 3 children and the friendly staff made us very welcome. The food was superb and plenty of it. We will definitely be going again.

This place has gone rapidly downhill since Tim & Germaine left in March 2016. Gone are the linen tablecloths and napkins to reveal tatty tables. Plastic sauce bottles and wrapped cutlery on table instead of being laid out or requested. Roast Sunday Lunch was a disappointment with soggy Yorkshire Pudding soaked with gravy. It used to be so good and...

We have just returned after a one night stay at The Crown Inn. The bed room was lovely and clean and a very comfy bed. We both had a lovely breakfast and will stay again. The owner and staff were very helpful and made the stay enjoyable
