Friends over from Canada that used to live in Benson and we decided to treat them to a Thai take away from The Crown Inn. This must be the 8th or 9th that we have had and its always good. If you haven't already tried it, you should.

We have stayed at this venue many occasions when visiting our son and daughter-in-law who are both in the RAF at Benson. On our last visit on 8th April for one night, we booked through Booking.com and always had a room with breakfast. On Sunday morning, we went down to breakfast only to be told that breakfast finished at 9.00am...

Lovely little pub. Nice and clean accommodation. Manager could not be more accommodating. Room on the main road but was not a problem. Nice continental breakfast with lots of choice. Nice little village very nearby

We had booked for a special treat and when we arrived it looked lovely. It was quiet in the restaurant, but we did go earlyish. However what we weren't expecting was to be told as we were given our menus if you would like a drink please go to the bar and order them. Didn't think we would have to...

The room is right above the bar, overlooking a patio and car park. There is NO sound insulation - the room is incredibly noisy ! There was also a live band playing on the night I was there, which did not help, but even ignoring that it is noisy. I give the room 1 star - the second star is...

Not as geared to residents as it used to be. Our bedroom had fresh painting not complete, faulty door lock, broken mirror light with wiring exposed, fused light bulb, litter down side of furniture, dirt under beds, fresh bed linen late. Room not serviced each day. No full breakfast as stated on websites, and poor 'continental' breakfast set up 'on...

The Crown has had its ups, and downs, but is now again a great village pub. Great for sports, and chatting to fellow locals. Newcomers always made welcome too. Nibbles laid on for the rugby internationals always helps too, and the staff are all lovely, polite & helpful. Also has a Thai restaurant attached, which is great.

Stayed here in Dec on a last minute booking. The welcome was warm and the room was clean and tidy. The locals in the bar were very friendly. I do try and stay in establishments like this to support them, as they have so much more to offer than the Corporate Hotel Chains. I will be back to stay again.Thank...

Some friends had said that the takeaway Thai food was very good, so the family thought we would give it a go... I have spent 25 minutes on and off trying to ring through and no reply. There is only one phone number, and it wasn't engaged, it just rang out for a minute to a minute and a half...

The manager was very welcoming and friendly. Carried bags to the room and clear fire instuctions and where to find him if needed through the night. Bar staff a bit thrown by our arrival, they didnt know what to do. Eventually got there when they said 'would you like a drink whilst waiting as the Manager has popped out and...
