Everything you want and expect from an old pub in a small Hampshire village. Lovely atmosphere. Friendly welcome. Good food either from the bar menu or in the restaurant. They had a good selection of beers and wines.

We had a family gathering and coming from all points of the compass this seemed a nice central location for us to meet. Once I’d done a lap of the village to find the car park we were greeted with a warm welcome into this lovely village pub. The food was plentiful and delicious, combined with good pricing this was...

My wife and I and two young children visited on a quiet weekend. We had a lovely bar meal over lunch, undisturbed as it was near empty. Perfect. The food was delicious and reasonably priced and the menu varied. It was warm and cosy. However, there is no provision for small children (high chairs etc) and we felt a little...

This was our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The menu was varied but not too big and the specials board was good too. Our meals were presented well and were really tasty. Although there was no children's menu, they catered for our little boy with no problem at all. Puds were nice and so was the coffee. It...

Stayed at the hotel for one night. I arrived just as the owners were arriving back, so i gather that if i had been slightly earlier then the place would have been locked up, this was at about 5pm, so although it didnt affect me, it would probably be worth mentioning to others that they may find the place locked....

Went for a lunch on a Monday - very good service. Beer was well kept and enjoyable. The fire in the stove was also welcome. I had ham, egg and chips which came with a small side salad. The eggs were running, the ham was thick and the chips were crisp outside with fluffy insides. i would recommend this pub...

NYE 2015 We were attending a friends party in Ewshot and chose this pub purely for the short distance to get back after the party. Easy to book and the landlord is a very nice friendly man which always helps. They had a NYE party in the pub and we were invited to have a drink if we arrived back...
