Purple Palms Resort is definitely an amazing spot for a getaway from the busy lives, but not too far from the Kushalnagara town! It's a property from SLN group who owns Levista Coffee (which I am a big fan of).
When we reached the gate of the resort, we felt it was a wrong choice as it was directly on the main highway to Madikeri. But as soon as we entered into the resort area we were amazed by the way the resort was setup with so much greenery! 😍 It was like as if we entered into some place far in a jungle with no noise from the nearby highway.
Welcomed by a polite and smiling staff, along with a welcome drink. Lot of car parking area. Separate parking area for vehicles with driver and private cars. Check-in process was smooth.
We stayed in Courtyard rooms, which had balconies. But the balconies are connected, so if you want a private balcony, you might get disappointed. But we found it fine, as the balconies had a separation for almost 80% and only little area was left connected. Rooms were big in size, the missing part was a wardrobe instead they have a small room for dressing.
They have a spa, gym, kids play area, swimming pool, small lawn, fish pond and some indoor games like snooker, carroms, Ludo, etc.
The spa was very good and procedures were reasonably priced. Good trained staff.
Breakfast buffet is superb with a great spread. The staff in resturant is also super-friendly and helping in all the ways. But the food menu for room service was a slight disappointment as the items were available only during the breakfast/lunch/dinner timings. So if you are with a kid and you want to order something for feeding in between then you need to plan well. Unlike many other resorts or hotels, where all the menu items are available for order throughout the day. Also, I found the menu a bit over priced, for example a serving of 3 boiled eggs priced at INR 275. Though the items were very good and they do take care of requests like if something needs to be prepared without spice, etc.
The hospitality is top notch. The way the staff treat you. The way they serve two apples and some cookies as complimentary every day around evening tea time. The way they take care of you when you go to restaurant.
Overall a great stay and would definitely recommend to others if you want to enjoy the greenery and have a relaxing stay (provided if this fits in your budget as it's slightly on the premium side). 😊

Excellent hotel with great ambience, great interiors, wonderful linen, furniture and fittings. The bath room was very well appointed with great care taken for the elderly like grab bars in shower etc ensuring great safety. Clean crisp towels and great shower with very good pressure, Toilatiries also upto the mark. Food was simply great with good spread during the breakfast buffet. There is however one point to make, the junior staff are extremely warm extending any help and service while the senior staff in grey coats are exactly the opposite.. they sounded quite serious, unfriendly with very less words to the point of being 'least bothered' and surely make you feel unwelcome.. this was a definete 'putoff' for me.. never found such attitude even at the hotels like Peninsula HongKong where I stay frequently ! I would never like to stay here again having a choice of other properties.

I went with my friends. It was a good experience overall. The place was clean and hygienic, with average food. The staff was cooperative.
The only problem we experienced was the lack of smoking rooms. We had to walk to a designated area to smoke as smoking was not allowed anywhere else.
I also tried the spa, which was supposed to include massages, steam, and a shower. However, I didn't enjoy it because they squeezed everything into one hour. The 45-minute massage left only 15 minutes for steam and shower combined. The prices were high as well; I paid 3k for a 45-minute massage, which was really disappointing.
Overall, it was a good experience but not worth the money spent.
I recommend Grand Armaan Restaurant in Coorg for its affordable prices and delicious food, especially their fallodas. Please give it a try!

Hence all our rooms are no smoking. For this reason smoking area outside not too far from the rooms and easily accessible. We understand the smokers requirement for a place to enjoy smoking. The Rooms, restrooms (hot water), swimming pool, Complimentary breakfast were all good. Only negative was that the temperature of Coorg was very hot almost as equal to Chennai’s Climate (March 22nd - March 24th). We also had the SPA service, it costed around 2500 plus taxes. The SPA was good. Outside food is allowed and the hotel management also gave us plates and cutleries without hesitation (which is strange as I’ve never seen any hotel do it). Overall, we enjoyed the stay and it was good.
A solid 8.4/10 ( as the price was little expensive )

This is only from beginners point of view, and my overall experience may change at the end of the trip. But to begin with, the property is nice, reception is average. In the room: the commode is right behind where the washroom door opens, and the door stopper is placed exactly where the feet would be while occupying the seat. So one has to be cautiously cautious to not hurt the toes, from the metal door stopper or it can be minor to major injury in the fingers or toe. Room service: calling room service at 4.00 PM, evoked no reply. Hence called reception, the person attending the call at reception said the room service would call back, but no call back for good 15 minutes, while awaiting to order tea/ coffee. Finally called once again to room service at 04.22 PM and luckily the call was answered and order placed. So first experience is bad.

We had a great experience at Purple palm resort and spa. The new year party at the resort was excellent. The gala dinner (unlimited food and drinks) along with live music and host performance added extra charm at new year party. The resort staff was incredibly helpful, special thanks to Manager at Elephant Cafe and restaurant who provided pleasant service at the restaurant. The resort has minimum amenities for kids like indoor and outdoor but the amenities were well maintained. The room was wonderful, clean. The location is perfect to celebrate a birthday weekend or a party as well as other tourist attraction places were nearby this resort location

Good ambience and food. Overall a good stay with family. Breakfast buffet had an excellent spread of continental.and Indian items. Children enjoyed the food and stay. Room service was also proactively taken care. Would recommend for short and long visits.

The in house hotel has no local food choices- Coorgi cuisine.
But the food they serve is decent..
Around there are a few restaurants but we kept going to Madikeri to enjoy some amazing local cuisine
You Can take Taxi From Manglore Airport to Coorg(best way to visit Coorg and nearby Area), or there are bus services from Manglore to Coorg/Kushal Nagar.
Hotels rates, we have paid approx 20 k includes meals.
There are more places to choose from in the Kushalnagar area.
